FE123 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I thought DJ was a bit non committal about being in the dug out at Norwich as well. Surely the team are travelling today and he has to be at this stage. 1 Quote

Then it will depend on whether we've been relegated or not. I think this is the likely scenario Kick the decision into the long grass, see how it goes and hope for the best 3 Quote

I imagine they are given a mediocre wage with a 7 figure bonus for promotion etc. which is what makes it enticing for fairly reputable managers i.e. JDT/JE/VI Then they have their tools taken away from them so they've no chance of ever activating that bonus or even a play off bonus. 4 Quote

ruggles1995 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago if we are going to be hiring people of no proper glamorous championship background, then Id personally like damian duff. Listening to him speak you can tell hes got a bit about him manager wise, and hes won a league albeit in Ireland, but least hes done something. I believe hes now part of keith andrews staff at brentford atm. Compared to all the other names id say hes on par with most, and if i have to put up with a mediocre unproven manager, id rather it was someone i loved as a player for rovers thats at least had some small success as a manager so far. Tomphil2 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I could probably cope with a Hughes / Savage combo that would certainly capture the imagination. 1 Quote

I agree but I don’t someone of such high esteem from my childhood (Duff, Dunn, and Jansen being my original heroes) soiling his legacy here as per Berg (who only recovered by suing the club). 3 Quote
roversfan99 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago For a start, why would 2 managers of their own right agree to be a duo? The priority of this appointment shouldnt be nostalgia or to "capture the imagination." 1 Quote
Browjd Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Graham Alexander is so underwhelming - please no 3 Quote

pick32 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Closed betting with Graham Alexander heavy favourite Quote
roversfan99 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The thing is, it all stemmed from an "insider" account posting that someone with his initials had "interviewed" well. It probably just shows how easy it is to totally change the betting market on a market like this. Quote

Sav loves Hughes and vice versa they might make a good duo with Hughes mentoring Savage with a view to stepping back in future. An opportunity to manage a Championship club and be sold the dream of taking it back to the Prem. It would certainly be something that would capture the imagination and get fans onside. A better suggestion than some of the guff being thrown around and more interesting than a return blandness. Quote

Yea I think those days have gone and have to accept it. I think perhaps with better players it would be 'easier' for these guys to come in and get some wins but we need experience at this stage, poor players, with a fight on our hand, the last th9ng we need is a trip down memory lane for a heroic save. We need someone who can manipulate a better system for the guys we have now. 1 Quote
Jimmy612 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Alexander would be above my pitifully low expectations. 1 Quote

If I type "next Blackburn Rovers manager odds" into Google, the top result is from Oddschecker. The preview underneath has Graham Alexander 4/1, Coleman 5/1, Hughes 6/1, Bilic 6/1, Savage 8/1. When you click the link to go to the website, it doesn't display Rovers managerial odds, just the Man Utd, Palace Leicester etc. odds. 1 Quote
