There is no long list. There is no short list. No one wants this. You'd either have to be:

- insane

- given up on your career and need a pay cheque

- a fanatical Rovers supporter.

Cue Gareth Ainsworth.

It's as daft as the no one will buy us bull shit.

Loads would take it in a heartbeat but their reasons and whether they are right for us is the real issues because the pond we are fishing in is more of a rusty old bucket where not much lives.

Don't think it's worth pursuing with if we're the ones approaching... Desperation if true and likely he'll go Leicester.

Unless there's anyone good that's even applied, may as well get Cifuenetes in

Just our luck that the only one who you could trust to pour his heart and soul into it like one of us and would take it tomorrow is Ainsworth.

Sadly he is the one with the worst football and one of the most likely to fail at this level but there seems an air of inevitability he'll end up here one day.

"Two main issues left to resolve"

So apart from the fact we're miles apart on length of contract and transfer budgets, it's in the bag!

You'd have to imagine that he'll be in with a shout this time, based on who we are realistically likely to attract.

So many reasons to be pessimistic about that, but I cling on to the 'but he's a Rover and a Blackburn lad' bit with disproportionate amounts of blind hope...

I think QPR fans felt the same before he turned up 🤨

It didn’t work for him at QPR and there was some ridicule with his motivation method shown on social media. However, he did a great job at Wycombe and he would be in it because he is Rovers through and through, anyone else would either be insane or solely cash motivated.

Hindsight an all that but wonder if Keith Andrews was on the shortlist this time last year...

Imagine the negativity on this board if he was considered

He loves QPR it was his nadir as a player and no doubt he threw himself into it and did the best he could but sorry i just don't think he's a Championship manager.

However all we can hope for here now is organisation and fight to stay up but the football principles they are trying to instil from youth to first team would go out the window.

Don't think the Technical Director or the Sporting Head of many heads would like that.

“Abandon all hope, ye who enter here”.
Once over the entrance to Hell in Dante’s Inferno. Today perfect for the new manager's parking bay at Brockhall. Whoever it is he must be out of his tiny f'ing mind. So a perfect fit with the board.

If Leicester genuinely want Rowett then he will go there.

We need him now, it needs to be urgent. It wouldn't surprise me if we went to QPR again with Johnson as manager.

It wouldn't surprise me if we went into the Preston game with Johnsen as manager.

We need to make an appointment today or tomorrow. Allow him 3 full training sessions with the players and Johnson/the staff.

If Rowett is appoint, its likely that Mark will joined him as his number 2

assistant coach Mark Sale, along with coaches Craig Short, Lewis Price, and Chris Hackett

thats was his management  team in Oxford.

former Rover Craig Short is still there, but his future remain unsure after the new manager at Oxford came in.
