Hasn’t Pratt got a serious facial injury ? He’ll be back next season.

Rovers are looking to loan him out to a national league club.

I feel for Damien Johnson primarily because he has essentially been thrown to the wolves by the gruesome twosome. Aside from goalkeeping coach Ben Benson he is on his own with, on the face of it no coaching support. He will be responsible for team selection, set up and tactics which I think is grossly unfair when you consider how many assistants and coaches recent managers have had.

At a normally run club there would have been some help from the under 21's coach or similar but on Tuesday I wasn't aware of Vignal's (or anybody else's) presence on the touchline.

Having seen Damien Johnson’s interviews he comes across as a thoroughly decent guy. The sort of person that used to be synonymous with Blackburn Rovers. However he does seem more suited to a technical role ( a role he says himself he loves). I don’t see him as the kind of motivator, energiser and leader that we need from our next manager. He should absolutely be part of Rovers going forward but we need something different as our manager

Agreed it's not fair to try and push him into the hotseat if he doesn't really want it regardless of how the next few go.

It would be fantastic if he could steer us away from the drop and stay on till summer but it's a massive task with this squad who lack so much quality if not desire.

He did a good job as U23 boss and has obviously done a good job in the role hes in given the amount of young that have come through and held their own at various points.

Hes a part of that process and long may it continue.

I know it won’t happen, but I would drop Cantwell.

gudjohnsen
Jørgensen - Ohashi - Morishita
Tronstad - Baradji

Pickering - Cashin - O Riordan - Alebiosu

my score prediction, feeling a heavy 4-0 defeat with a early norwich goal. Hope im wrong!

I feel away from home id go 352, we seemed to pick up points in 352 when alebiousu is available.

if i could pick, id go:
                       toth
              miller Carter Cashin
alebiousu tronstad forshaw morishita
                      baraji
           Jorgensen Gudjohnsen

Forshaw was out injured for the midweek game after playing 60 minutes the previous Saturday. Going off previous experience I can’t see him playing again for a while now.

Blackburn has been branded, the poorest town in the UK, if we don't start putting an unbeaten run together, it will also be branded, poorest team.

I thought the poorest town was Blackpool ?

Maybe he’s seen how the role of manager affects people physically and psychologically and he doesn’t want to end like that. I remember ITV doing a programme about the stress of football management. They chose Big Sam when he was involved in a relegation battle game at Bolton. They had him wired up to the usual devices.  His blood pressure and heart rate went up to ridiculously unhealthy levels.

When we  first signed Pickering his highlight reel consisted almost entirely of him playing as wing back. All attacking play with hardly any examples of him defending.

What happened to that part of his game ?

Chronic lack of pace suffered after injury.
