Did well.

Nuttall was really selfish and should have released him for a one on one late on - we could have pressured Brentford in their half at the throw in.

Did not a lot. Handful of first time passes, mainly backward.

I agree though that Nuttall should have played him in though. This is what Mowbray has created though. Competition with three players for one position, and lots of uncertainty about whether your current game could be your last for a while.

He’s probably thinks that as soon as Brereton scores he will be dropped. Again.

Ya god damn Mowbray and his creating of competition! Down with that sort of thing. Careful now.

Brereton 'had his best game': He controlled the ball a few times (though even one of those ended with him comically taking it out for a goal kick), won a corner and didn't fall over like Lukaku on ice blades.

Though the fact some are even saying that shows how far we've come with the straw clutching.

Perhaps after a few more stuffings the talk of any play-off hopes will be a distant memory and the guy can then get some game time and goals playing in the no pressure season's end dead rubbers.

Another way to look at it is receiving the ball under pressure, spinning and nutmegging the defender and leaving them behind before unluckily overrunning it.

He's got zero goals and that is a big worry for a £7 Million striker. Let's bet honest once Graham and Dack went off today we all knew that unless we got a set piece that we weren't going to go and get a 3rd goal.

Agreed - but there are more than a vocal few on here that literally say that he won’t make a footballer as long as he’s got a hole in his arse... just a little mickey taking.

He was one of the better performers second half today, although that may be damning with faint praise.

Only as far as the score was concerned. In terms of play even at 2-2 we hadn't exactly set the world on fire after the first ten minutes had we ?

I was meaning your own situation. Surely you should have been coming on and tearing everyone a new one if everyone was that bad? ?

The more they cost, the lower the bar!!  Oddly!

Well, I'm not sure it was his best game, but it was his best game in a while. He had a couple of decent cameos that actually changed the game, back when he got a couple of assists. At that point he actually probably merited a start, which he didn't get. I think his confidence has been tanked since.

Today he didn't impact the game quite the same, but he looked confident and keen, which has been sorely lacking. He also showed some decent touches etc, and for the first time since those better cameos, I was actually starting to think 'OK yeh, maybe there is a decent player in there'.

Up to him to press on now, only he can do it.

Glad there’s been a spark of potential today, he’s needed to show something and maybe his time to shine now he’s realised he has a chance with no new forwards coming in

I'm glad he didn't have a stinker. Because of his large transfer fee, many are expecting the finished article already and forget he is only n n n n nineteen. At least we can see potential again. Next time out, hopefully he gives the fans something to get behind him again.
