  1. We are just so far behind Australia on every front. So much for the ECB to think about on that. Do we have the right person in place to really get to grips and have the absolute determination to make the decisions that are going to take England to the top. Seems to me major surgery is needed.
  2. Someone’s confusing “individuals” with “team” Rovers squad that was relegated in 1966… https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/379166.jpg?fallback=png Fred Else https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 31/03/1933 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/80647.jpg?fallback=png John Roberts https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/194.gif Australia 24/03/1944 Defender https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/381412.jpg?fallback=png Benjamin Anderson https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/43.gif Scotland 18/02/1946 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/111638.jpg?fallback=png Mike England https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/55.gif Wales 02/12/1941 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/379180.jpg?fallback=png David Holt https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 07/01/1945 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/379168.jpg?fallback=png Dick Mulvaney https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 05/08/1942 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/18294.jpg?fallback=png Keith Newton https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 23/06/1941 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/379170.jpg?fallback=png Billy Wilson https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 10/07/1946 Midfielder https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/18386.jpg?fallback=png Ronnie Clayton https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 05/08/1934 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/241205.jpg?fallback=png Mike Ferguson https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 09/03/1943 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/211316.jpg?fallback=png Walter Joyce https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 10/09/1937 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/118860.jpg?fallback=png Eamonn Rogers https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/22.gif Ireland 16/04/1947 Forward https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/379175.jpg?fallback=png Martin Britt https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 17/01/1946 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/379171.jpg?fallback=png John Byrom https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 24/04/1944 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/379274.jpg?fallback=png Malcolm Darling https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/43.gif Scotland 04/07/1947 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/27173.jpg?fallback=png Bryan Douglas https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 27/05/1934 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/288726.jpg?fallback=png Mike Harrison https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 18/04/1940 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/381300.jpg?fallback=png Roly Horrey https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 07/03/1943 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/379277.jpg?fallback=png George Jones https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 21/04/1945 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/70736.jpg?fallback=png Andy McEvoy https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/22.gif Ireland 15/07/1938 https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/klein/379169.jpg?fallback=png George Sharples https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/flaggen_neu/12.gif England 20/09/1943
  3. It’s got everything to do with this thread Chaddy. You don’t even have to have played cricket, never mind been captain of your country to have an opinion of a player. I could, but won’t trawl back and get many very critical opinions from ex pros of Crawleys technique. I “think” only last week the ex England opening batsman mentioned Crawleys technique when he was talking about the England sides performances in the Ashes. I posted the link on here.
  4. There were plenty of people inside football who backed Steve Kean.
  5. Gallagher contract extension is easier to take when the teams doing well. Would it be so popular if we were struggling near the bottom and we were desperate for fire power?
  6. I got a ULCI in tech drawing. 🙂
  7. I suspect you’ve been watching Atherton Nasser Keys discussing English cricket on sky? Anyway, you mention Michael Atherton. He IS a very intelligent man. Here’s a times column he’s written in the Times. It’s very interesting if you’re a cricket fan. Like you say, the ECB should use him in some capacity. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/f204e814-6969-11ec-98df-0bb0132add1b?shareToken=d84504dfc1d23d2eb6e3f1ff36b0f0f1#
  8. Anyone mentioned the most important point about rovers form? 17 points ahead of North End 👍👏👌
  9. Because if there’s a flaw in your technique, there’s a flaw. You won’t get away with it at the top level. The opposition will expose it.
  10. Then maybe the coaching is also big problem and has been for a long time - as in that link I posted?
  11. On top of that, here’s an excellent, thought provoking article that puts the blame primarily on coaches. https://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/120396/englands-test-batting-at-rock-bottom-with-deep-rooted-issues
  12. Cricket is doing what football has been doing since the emergence of Sky, it’s following the money. There’s far more money in the one day games and that’s the big draw. Who is going to be brave enough and take the game against that? I fear, nobody. The counties and test cricket will not vote to deny themselves those one day receipts.
  13. So, we set the replay date and Hull will have a fully fit squad, while rovers are ravaged by Covid but still above the required minimum numbers to force the game to be played. Whats the chances of that?
  14. Hull offer an apology. Thats nowhere near enough. Those travelling fans deserve proper compensation at the very least.
  15. I feel for you. Football doesn’t deserve you.
  16. I have good news. tomorrow the sun will have started it’s journey back towards the northern hemisphere. 😀 hooray!
  17. You’ll be missed Bumble.
  18. Fabulous stuff this is. Mowbrays analysis of this is spot on. “Theyve clicked” 👍
  19. Was up as they went in for lunch. Everything was great. No wickets lost and the Aussie bowlers pretty tame according to the BBC. Bloody hell, went back to bed, got up and they were all out. Couldn’t believe it. Today was the day England lost the ashes series.
  20. England 17/2. Both openers gone. Embarassing. Not unexpected but still embarassing.
