  1. Not going to bother reading that as the snippets posted are enough. He's got some magic rose tinted glasses on if he thinks we're playing good football. I don't understand how he can keep going back to that.
  2. Because we're taking about a player in terms of his capabilities as a back up, rather than as a regular starter. He's shown on plenty of occasions that he can fill in OK, but he's not someone you could rely on to be a regular starter. With Pickering coming in, you would expect his time to be limited, providing Pickering is as good as people say he is/could be. Signing Bell on again as a back up would need to be short term (i.e. 12 months) for it to even be considered an option for me. Just to tie us over whilst we see how Pickering gets on. Resource wise the cost of recruiting a new back up left back would outweigh the need to get a replacement in. Just my opinion of course. It's key to remember that Douglas was being tipped as this leading Championship left back when we signed him and he's performed no better than Bell has. That's a lot of money spent for us just to tread water (if not regress) at the left back position.
  3. I agree with you as well. I don't rate Bell, but it makes sense to have a cheap backup to Pickering, who we're all expecting to walk in as our no.1 left back. It would cost money we can't afford to spend to strengthen at back up left back if we let him go. Bit gutted we didn't bring Cunningham back, instead of signing Douglas. Bit of hindsight there in terms of how Douglas has panned out but I did want Cunningham back at the time.
  4. If there's any ounce of truth in it, Mowbray needs sacking just for that. I'm not having our better players getting sidelined/hounded out of the club due to his piss poor management.
  5. Managed to get 16 right. Didn't get 3, 8 or 15.
  6. Must get some badge on Twitter for circulating rumours on there. Same for hounding journalists about 'x player' whenever someone is mentioned in here. I've heard Damien Johnson is going to be announced at 5pm, which is just after Mowbray is meant to be canned. We're also looking to bring back Jordan Rhodes in the summer. All from a friend that I know that works within the scouting team. (Crack away lads. Completely made up but feel free to get everyone worked up about it).
  7. It was yourself that posted something on Twitter that made out that it was gospel, except someone has now added 3pm to it. I don't see what people gain from it. EDIT: Sorry, just seen the tweet where you also mentioned 3pm. As far as I'm aware, there was no mention of 3pm from the two users that 'broke' the rumour.
  8. The rumour spread from here to Twitter is pretty embarrassing. It's this sort of thing that kept us linked with Marcus Maddison for four transfer windows.
  9. Sounds like we're awful yet again. Stuck to my guns and haven't streamed it today. Any players coming out with any credit so far?
  10. You do right mate. I'm on the vodka and I can't stand the stuff.
  11. I'm not buying any more match passes this season after that. If the game is on SKY I'll give it a watch but they've done nothing to deserve any more of my money, especially as our season is now run. Mowbray needs to go, with the new manager given this last set of games to work out who is worth keeping and who needs to be moved on. As a fan base, we already know the answers to those questions to a certain degree. The clowns running the club don't seem to have a clue.
  12. I've watched every game and this is desperate. They're not even capable of making 5 yard passes. I've seen better forward play in the terrible 5 a side games I play in.
  13. I'd argue that he'd be a waste of a body further upfield.
  14. Although it has been bad throughout the season, this is arguably the worst we've been given the opposition we're playing. We're making them look good and they are shocking. Trybull has probably been our best player so far and he's been guilty of missing a 3 yard header.
  15. Painful watch so far. Looks like they've never played football before.
  16. Yeah, they do a relatively simple test by moving your leg and checking resistance in the knee. At the hospital they knew straight away with a good degree of confidence that it was the ACL. Only ended up having an MRI a month or so after to check for secondary damage & that confirmed it. I did mine in August 2019 & was lucky to be back playing casual 5 aside by January 2020. Only had a couple of months easing back in before covid hit. Just walking the dog & walking around the house I can get aches & pains in both knees. Doing the ACL in both knees is going to really limit his playing career. Feel so bad for him.
  17. Game of opinions. Agree to disagree. He's starting to perform better overall & winning us the ball, which is all that matters. For clarity, I agree he's lightweight.
  18. May not have happened at the rate we've seen in the last two games, but it was apparent even from his cameo appearances to date that it's a strength of his.
  19. The one thing Buckley does well, even when he's underwhelmed, is knicking the ball back. We really saw that at the forefront last night alongside his obvious technical ability. His decision making was just much, much better tonight. Pleased for him. Hopefully he can kick on in the way that Travis did when he properly started to get starts.
  20. Before his injury I really didn't see much in him, but I've been quite impressed since he's slotted back in. Hopefully he can build on that. Assuming he signs a new contract, it does look positive having him & potentially Pike competing for RB should Nyambe end up leaving.
  21. He's a really good player. I'd love to see him signed up to replace Evans.
  22. The standard of refereeing in the Championship is an absolute disgrace. That's one of the best halves of football I've seen us play this season. A couple of blips from Douglas aside, they've all looked good. Really not sure how Brereton hasn't won a penalty at the start there. And the Swansea penalty is a disgrace. Their player is already going down from no contact when Sam swipes a leg out (which even from a couple of replays, I'm not convinced even touches the player).
  23. Agreed. Meant that as part of it.
