  1. Doesn't that worry you Chaddy? If your wage was the same now as it was back in 2019, would you be happy with that? Looking at it wider, if we have the same wage bill now as 2019 then that indicates one of 2 things to me: 1. We've replaced senior players from the 2019 era with players who will be happy to take very similar terms to what the previous players were on. Which considering a 6 year difference likely means the new players are of inferior quality. 2. Senior players have had wage rises, but we've reduced the overall number of "senior players" and increased the number of academy players in the first team, who are naturally on less money and thus the cost balances out when taking the whole squad into consideration. Either way, if they're cutting costs or keeping costs the same, we will only go backwards.
  2. Glad to see it's not just myself being bombarded with emails from Rovers. It got that tiresome earlier this week that I unsubscribed.
  3. With Windings as the font used.
  4. From the article: Danny Batth, Adam Forshaw and Andi Weimann are the three senior players out of contract this summer, as well as Tyrhys Dolan, though his situation differs. Genuine question here, can anyone explain why his situation in particular, differs to the other 3? Is it that he's got a contract offer?
  5. Is his agent the one that hosts the "I Had Trials Once" podcast? Used to play for Salford in the very early days when Neville and co bought it?
  6. I think we will leave our communication there.
  7. You can see the problem here right? You use rumour as a statement and it's fine. Someone else does the same, but with a different viewpoint to your own, and all of a sudden "no-one knows for sure".
  8. He also wanted a new contract with some spending guarantees (rightly earned I think) and contracts for the players who had got him 6th, both denied.
  9. You have mentioned this a few times now. That £4.5m does not include the Raya sell-on fee we received, which is anywhere between £4.5m and £6m. We only spent £4.5m after selling upwards of £11m in the summer alone. Who do we have that makes £11m so we can spend £4-5m?
  10. The wife wanted trash TV tonight, she's letting me keep this game on if I want.
  11. Firstly, I don't think partly quoting a sentence from Pasha as the gospel truth is a wise thing when trying to backup your argument, especially when one of those signings came in at the end of January and the other seemingly can't dislodge Pears as number 1 (a position we both agree, should be number 1 priority in the summer). Secondly, you have said we need 10 new players next season, i'll assume that does not include replacements of any other potential losses who we haven't had this season (such as if Markanday or Garrett leave on a perm or loan again). Do you think obtaining the number of players we need at the right level, can be obtained with the small amount of money you've mentioned?
  12. The only heads I want to roll are those on bank notes, sliding across a table from a suitable buyer to Venkys.
  13. Feel for Bath cos it came straight at him, but it's going 6 feet wide if he leaves it.
  14. Roll up, roll up, buy your season tickets.
  15. Chris Iwelumo on Sky Sports classing our January signings as "squad fillers" and wondering where the money has gone.
  16. An important point and something I've noticed not only in the '3 hostages video's' but also from some parts of the media (emphasis on the some). The impression I get is that they're not only trying to slander the approach being made and belittle supporters emotions on the subject, but lines of questioning have veered off into a tangent completely unrelated to our cause. Everyone who's in the public domain fighting the good cause needs to be confident of keeping to the relevant topics and sticking to factual evidence.
  17. How can he be happy with a person in a position, when three sentences earlier he explains why 2 people turned down said vacant position. I know English isn't his first language, but there's no way he can hide behind that absolute claptrap. Makes Waggott look competent
  18. Agree wholeheartedly Chaddy. I haven't heard or watched the video - but does he mention a goalkeeper as a priority?
  19. Rudy looks like a timid kid for most of that interview.
  20. Waggott: "Job done lads, we can call that an online fans forum."
  21. Me neither. I agree he should be included, but not the primary target. The one worry I have is that Waggott and Suhail will be in self preservation mode and they'll have noticed Gestede's name in the initial press release. They'll be using it as a means to take the heat away from them and trying to get everyone to "look at the shiny, look at the shiny". I'm sure they'd use every trick in the book to keep their names out of peoples mouths.
  22. Imagine being dense enough to just accept a text like that at face value. Mind you, I expect nothing less of Jim White & Simon Jordan - pompous charlatans.
  23. A 25% Trump style tariff perhaps? 30% if you attend not wearing Blue/White.
  24. You were on a hiding to nothing when taking the mantle of media comms. Our frustrations aren't with you as an individual (and I hope you're aware of that) because you can only communicate what is communicable and my personal history with WATR information dissemination, is lacklustre at best. Reading between the lines, your personal stance is not aligned to WATR's stance for next action steps, it's likely they don't align with mine either. Which is perfectly acceptable - if its communicated and everyone knows what they're signing up for. I'd highly suspect that if the WATR group came out and said "we want to continue our critical friend approach" - the majority of the previous weeks/months sign-ups to the group, would ask for a refund and for their membership to be rescinded. All anyone who is a member, was a member or is interested in becoming a member wants to know is: What are you standing for and what is your approach? Allow supporters to make an informed decision. You'll then know if the member base agrees with you (if they monitor metrics for sign-up numbers, lapsed memberships, etc.)
