Any defenders on the bench? Losing every ball in our own box -

On tv here so guaranteed loss. Only question is if it will be a depressing 3-0 or gut wrenching 2-1 with a late winner for Brom from a corner… -

If it is what it takes to keep him happy and “in the zone” then it would not be unique and it is JDTs call to keep him playing the best football of his career. (btw - I would have subbed him but man management in the modern game is not as easy as it was) -

Suspect that SS has an agreement not to be subbed unless injured -

Honestly think JDT is limited to “I would like” when it comes to transfers - as is often the case with a DOF model. The difference is usually the DOF is tasked with finding the best players for those positions (or improves the team/squad). Usually the board/owners have a genuine desire to get the best available within an overall financial framework - balancing increased revenue based on results against future resale value and wages of players. Our owners seem to only focus on one criteria despite having pissed away millions by seemingly only being interested on a minimum ROI otherwise fuck it - let them leave for nothing. Bizarre -

Managed decline is a phrase that has stuck in my mind. Part of me wonders if this sudden change wasn’t planned all along - why wait until 6pm if the decision is made?? Get the tickets moving asap Unless the goal is to keep the crowd number “manageable” (cost wise) - screw revenue as that seems totally unimportant… -
People who tell the truth in football tend to have very short careers in modern times…

Poorly formulated targets can be both catastrophic and humorous (sick/dark) If Swag is given the instruction/target to cut costs then that matters for him to keep his job or be paid off. i once had a project where the owner offered me a huge bonus and long contract if I could generate a profit within 12 months at a leisure facility where customers paid a yearly fee in advance. No restrictions on what or I could or couldn’t do and no formulated goal/plan for year 2 and onwards. Easy - cut all maintenance/service except those that would breach any legally binding agreement with customers. I get paid having achieved the owners target and pisspoor owners would then look at my long contract and probably formulate a new, specific goal, raise prices for the reduced number of customers whilst holding (or even cutting) costs further to “match the new reality” Sadly I am not SW - I informed the owner of foolishness in his offer and the business is thriving 15 years later having grown steadily and established a reputation for service alongside an ambition to improve the quality of services each year or within a realistic timeframe edit: corrected autocorrect 🤣 -

Whitewashing - no. Responding to opinions about broader issues with our coach - perhaps it is the wrong thread. simply - we were off it from the kick off but still in the game at 43 minutes Even at 1-0 down there was a chance but the start to the 2nd half was no improvement and Brittain sealed our fate. Big question is would we be just as upset if it had finished 2-0? Think the 2 late goals, however well deserved, have turned a shit performance into a catastrophe -

Wasn’t a double substitution prepared just prior to Brittains idiocy? Leonard was one of them - didn’t see who the other was tbh -

Brittain Only long punt all game - pretty obvious he knew the whistle had gone. Maybe JDT will make him sit at the front of the bus on the way home… Seriously just wtf - max fine, triple training and outreach/community work over Christmas/New Year should be the minimum consequences -

TBF none of them has done enough to warrant a start and Leonard and Ennis are the best 2 of the 3 to have on the bench -

Saturday 3pm kick off, team doing ok despite injuries/budget, last Saturday of Christmas holiday, chance of progressing to next round, pricing right (for once) It has to be an intentional effort to keep the crowd low or am I being cynical?? Do the “digital bollocks” for a game with a high turnout and the effect (publicity/aqareness not actual environmental savings as that is bollocks) would be greater as well as not discouraging casual/spontaneous fans from an affordable, winnable game that isn’t on tv Just what is Waggots remit - cut matchday expenses irrespective of lost revenue?? -

The word “plan” and Venkys tend not to be associated with each other… Sammy is making headlines and an ambitious championship club looking to aid their promotion/playoff push might fancy him - especially if the rumour is that we need to sell. As for SS - if he wants a chance at prem football then a move is probably needed… -

Did Telalovic look more like a footballer than previous cameo? Also suggests that Markanday is finished at rovers if he can’t get on the pitch with this injury and fixture list 🤔 -

Actually concerned that a bid för Sammy S is a real risk with the money used to keep the lights on -

Enjoyed watching us play / the game but hate losing. Don’t watch too often but was impressed overall given the players available. Also impressed with how both Dolan and Moran saw and executed some killer passes. At 1-1 I was struggling to think of a change that wouldn’t weaken the team and disrupt our “flow” even though I like Leonard as a player. TLDR good football, shit defending and weak bench. Blame the bus not the coach 😉 -

Wasn’t it Paul Senior that brought in Mowbray? Add JDT being recruited by Greg B and the Vs stats get even worse… -
Pears/ Kaminski.. summer plans?
Roverthechimp replied to NeilInBristol's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
TK is a better GK in the old school sense. Pears appears better regarding distribution and with the ball at his feet. I’d prefer TK but if Pears can improve his decision making then I could understand if TK was sold for a few million. edit: i can understand selling him but i wouldn”t if promotion is actually the aim -
If you were offered a free pick of all players on the pitch yesterday to play a match for you to win 10 million pounds - how many Rovers players would be in your team? Take out sentiment, potential and history and i’m struggling for more than 2 and both are defenders… JDT has done a decent job over the season but needed 1 or 2 strikers in january to ek out wins when the pressure increased. I hope he stays but think he will leave
