  1. Let's have it right. Fck off, Kipre!
  2. I think so too. I remember the malaise at the end of that season, when Lee first came in and everyone was sold to Furphy at Sheff Utd. It was all worthwhile the following season ..
  3. Yep. Showing my age, but I enjoyed Tony Field with all his goals. However, selling him funded Rovers winning promotion the following year..
  4. Haha..I felt the same about "My Rovers", when I was still smarting about having my club stolen from me. ( and I still am, by the way..) Certainly, the timing of this Covid thing is very bad for the club with all its recent history-straw/camel's back etc. Our fanbase is dwindling and much of it is running out of patience after a decade of Venky misrule and these stultifying "stagnation years". The club may simply have run out of goodwill. And it doesn't help one iota that many fans have no belief in our "leaders"/spokespeople. This statement by Waggott is obviously an attempt at advance warning. Treading very carefully here (remember my pen name!) the club is in a real corner here. Given there will be a significant reduction of supporters allowed through the gate, they have to find some way of increasing income or reducing costs/selling players etc. How the hell do they manage this crisis without piling on the antagonism with loyal fans? I don't want to see our best players sold and I can't think of a way of increasing income without some increase in ticket prices. But how on earth can Waggott sell that without specifying the contingencies, if there is another spike etc.-especially if so much recent history signals lack of ambition? Leadership is about hearts and minds. Would I be listening more favourably, if someone we trusted (like John Williams) laid it on the line? One thing for sure, this is not the time to sound patronising or to rub it in that fans' loyalty is being taken for granted...
  5. Do you know this about TM marginalising anyone, who challenges him or is it just a hypothesis? I don't know what has gone on with Mulgrew and I have only heard TM's respectful, public comments, which seem quite reasonable to me. Mulgrew's tweets, on the other hand, seem self-indulgent and spoilt-a real disappointment from one such as Mulgrew.
  6. Tony is friends with Stuart Ripley. Does that count?
  7. Sorry, replied to wrong post..
  8. ...The Jordan Slew/ Ben Brereton thing has scarred me...My sense is that it is Investment 1- Urgent Requirements 0
  9. He loves the club. Only worry is that he is inclined to be a bit of a big head...
  10. Currently based in North West, "training with Nantwich"...
  11. He won't ever sign for a small-town club because ...he's living for the city!
  12. If you cross Mr. Benett with George Eliot you get someone, who will never make a full back!
  13. Shades of Sunderland and Steele..
  14. Brilliant! .Laughed out loud at that.
  15. Joe(bastard chicken dance celebration)?
  16. There must be a Rockford line!
  17. Sounds like another maverick!
  18. Swansea?...Really? Mind you, I couldn't believe Sunderland paid £2 million for Steele. Are we really going to "make do and mend" at the back and upfront? . Stagnation is one thing, but relegation risk is another thing entirely... Angry fans are coming!
  19. So when Tony said "Fck off, Derrick", he meant...well exactly that!
  20. Disappointments are coming!
  21. Yeah, he's such a prick to come out with crap like that on twitter. As if that community haven't got enough of a mountain to climb!
  22. We tried and we failed...couldn't get them through the door....blah blah. Maybe, it also shows inexperience on the transfer negotiation front....
