  1. Sutton because he is one of the best pundits in the country, Murphy because he played for Liverpool, Savage because he plays the clown and Keith Andrews god only knows.
  2. With Villa going up Adomah could be a good signing for that role has always been a good performer in the Championship but I can't see him playing much in the Premiership.
  3. Terrible decision from Lampard not to start Marriott, he changed the game when he came on at Leeds and he has done the same again today.
  4. There's more chance of me staring the season in goal for Rovers than of Manchester United making a bid for Dack. Pure fantasy.
  5. Conway did a job last season really, does one half decent performance against Sheffield Wednesday class as doing a job? You really think every premier league club is looking at Dack? I highly doubt it after 1 good but nothing more season in the Championship. Perhaps 6 or 7 clubs that's only aim is to survive might look at him but clubs looking for more will be looking for better than Dack. Also I would say that there are numerous players around Dack's age who could do it in the Premier League, some of who I would say are better than Dack. I would have major doubts about Dack being able to do it in the Premier League.
  6. The defenders might argue that they would improve with a better more reliable keeper behind them. Personally I think given the poor amount we concede last season that we need a better keeper and defenders.
  7. Would take Bentley at Brentford in a straight swap with Raya.
  8. I thought last year giving him a new deal was purely sentimental based on this season giving a new one would be crazy. He had one half decent performance at home to Sheffield Wednesday other than that his main contribution was taking minutes that should have been given to Rothwell and if he is here next season he will be taking minutes from Chapman.
  9. I said the same about Conway 12 months ago and given his lack of impact this season I feel vindicated. A good player in his day but he's 34 now and well past his best, he could still perhaps do it in League 1 or 2 but for a side with any ambition in the Championship he isn't near up to standard. And a long throw as well, it's might not be pretty but it can be very effective.
  10. Did Gladwin take a reduction in wages during the 18 months he has been in the treatment room? If not then the club owe Gladwin given that he has been well paid for two years and given next to nothing back to the club.
  11. This is a football club not a charity. Gladwin has been well paid for two years and has given next to nothing back in fact over those two years the club has done more for him than he has for us. By all means allow Gladwin to continue training with the club and using the facilities but to give him any kind of contract is ridiculous especially when the manager has already said that he won’t be fit for pre-season.
  12. Worrying but sadly I expected it. I could never see Mowbray letting him go.
  13. The fact that we are in talks over extending the stay's of Gladwin and Conway say to me that we either we have a very poor budget or it is Mowbray again failing to be ruthless. Either way players such as Conway and Gladwin are not the sort of players who are going to have us pushing for the top 6. I would hope that we are still looking to bring in another keeper and that Leutwieler is being kept around as a cheap 3rd choice to allow Fisher to go out on loan and play, if not then it again suggests that either the budget is very poor or that Mowbray is failing to be ruthless.
  14. How this Mansfield Newport game is still 0-0 I don't know but a very enjoyable game with plenty of chances at both ends.
  15. Incredible that Eddie Smart couldn't spot Chelsea scoring a goal a few yards offside at Cardiff yet today he managed to see a foul by Bogle on Harrison that no one else did.
  16. Considering these games are to qualify for the richest game in football, the standard of the officiating has been awful. And worst of all these are Premier League officials
  17. It's because he is probably one of our top earners and just signed a new 2 year extension that he will be staying. Who's buying?
  18. Words are all well and good but as he has demonstrated on numerous occasions what he says and what he does can be two very different things. Action is needed not words.
  19. I'd say Evans is a lot better than Smallwood, early season Evans was playing excellent and a key part to our good start. Sadly not for the first time in his Rovers career his performances went down hill after signing a new contract.
  20. Smallwood isn't good enough for the Championship. Evans can be a good player but we only seem to see it when he needs a new contract.
  21. He had a quality central midfielder here this season, only he chose to play him out wide that majority of the time. And if he's writing them all off bar Travis then it wasn't very sensible to within the last year have given new extended contracts to Evans and Smallwood.
  22. Leutwiler Nyambe Lenihan Magloire Bell Davenport Travis Chapman Dack Rothwell Graham Subs: Raya, Rankin-Costello, Mulgrew, Buckley, Armstrong, Butterworth, Brereton
  23. I think it has zero effect on our summer transfer dealings and if they did then why are they not on sale now?
  24. You really think that season tickets sales are going to influence our summer spending?
