Kieran Maguire doesn't know what he's talking about. The bloke's a complete throbber. -
The statement from WATR is a disgrace. Meek, mild, pathetic, pandering shit. Stop fucking about and join the coalition now.

The manner in which funding mysteriously just dried up as soon as they were under investigation leads me to believe that they were always doing something nefarious financially with the club. That's not to say they ever actually funded the club properly, they just had no problems with spaffing 15m on losses that could have easily been avoided by just running the club properly. When the investigation started in 2021 we saw an end to the lucrative contracts being handed out left right and centre (with lots of juicy commissions for agents) and saw a move to allowing contracts to expire when they became too expensive and the fire sale of everything that isn't nailed down. The downgrade of the women's team is the latest of these actions. Although I don't believe that the financial element was 100% the reason for them buying the club in the first place, I'd hazard a guess and say it was a big part of their reason for the purchase. The othere three venktards would have needed to see some benefit to the purchase beyond fat baz wanting a new thing to flex in public. I'd say an overseas business woth turnover in the millions that can make huge losses without drawing much if any scrutiny could be deemed quite handy to a multi billion pound corporation looking to skirt some rules on regulations. -

So they've deliberately relegated the Women's team for financial reasons exactly the same as they did with the men's. -

As far as I'm aware, they've still to get a No Objection Certificate prior to sending funds. The guarantee is a condition of them receiving the certificate from the ED. This was a compromise agreement when they were refused the certificate the other year. -

Funny how Leicester get charged yet Chelsea are Man City don't. Almost as though the system is run totally in favour of the biggest and wealthiest clubs... -

When you look at the list of pros retained it's a really poor squad. -

According to chaddy every manager that has ever been sacked was done so harshly. Except Big Val of course, put him in the bin. -

If they need someone to fill in I'd be more than happy to do the job of judge, jury and executioner. -
I remember whe Shearer went to Newcastle and some lad at school turned up with a Newcastle shirt on. Instant loss of any credibility and was excluded from any football related activities (which at 8 years old was pretty much everything). In fact, I think he didn't even really follow football much after that. I remember when I was about 12 or 13 me and a Dingle lad at school absolutely ripping out this other lad who was a United "supporter" for not supporting his local team. I can tell you now that if anyone we'd have know had turned up in a Palace shirt then they'd never be allowed to forget it. That is the most tinpot thing I've ever heard of, and age is absolutely no excuse. If I'd have turned up with something like that on my back my old man wouldn't have let me in the house. I can understand why folk have an interest in following his career but why anyone would want a shitty nothing club like Palace to do well is beyond me. At the end of the day, Wharton left at the very first opportunity entirely for the benefit of his own career. If he wanted to stay he could have.

I don't believe it.

In my entire life in Blackburn I've never been given anything with currants in it when asking for a tea cake. Not denying that there are such a thing as currant tea cakes but ask for a tea cake round Blackburn and you'll get the plain variety that you have chips on. That is a tea cake.

Then that's a currant tea cake.

You can't teach talent. You can however teach your goalkeeper that when a cross comes into the six yard box you fucking catch it! -
Agree with this 100%. It's small time and tinpot. Embarrassing really. I don't give two fucks about Crystal Palace, they're a complete non entity. I can understand a very minor interest in how Wharton is getting on but this whole thread is just completely embarrassing. We are Blackburn Rovers. Former Premier League champions and the tenth most successful club in England. Wharton should have stayed and forced the club to run out of money to bring on administration, that would have been a great thing for him to do. He ain't a Rovers player anymore so I couldn't give a toss. What are you all going to do if he scores against us? Start cheering, waving your Palace or whatever other shit club he's playing for, scarves over your heads? As I said before, a real Rovers fan wouldn't have allowed themselves to be shoved out the door like that. And one more thing, a tea cake doesn't have fucking currants in it!
