The BBC team has Hedges as RWB and Brittain as LWB . Now that wouldn’t surprise me. Play them on their “ wrong “ wings. It’s the latest fad. -
The Worst Match You’ve Ever Seen…

I went to the Oldham game. I remember Bennett getting in on the left wing, rounding the keeper, then hitting the post with an empty goal to aim at. In the first half. -

Yes I can’t see a happy ending to this. He leaves in January for a smaller fee and isn’t replaced or he leaves in summer for nothing. -

I’m sorry but there are people who were Rovers fans who wouldn’t go if it was free now. That’s the damage that 12 years of the Chicken Chokers have inflicted. -

12 years, of more or less solid, alienation and demoralisation. It’s a wonder we get the gates we do. -

They scored two goals yesterday wether they have a striker or not. It’ll probably suit Mowbray because he liked playing with false strikers in the first place. I wouldn’t under estimate Sunderland. -
Two suits anybody playing up front. Leading the line on your own is a real thankless task. That’s why the players that can do it go for mega bucks.

Brian Clough used to say “ Get the best goalie you can afford because your goalie can lose you a game quicker than any other player “. Looking at that - your goalie can also win you a game pretty quickly. -

Me too. We were treading water for most of the time he was here. -
There’s a long way to go yet. Look where we were at Xmas last season.

All strikers need service tailored to their abilities. You wouldn’t have expected Graham to be first to lots balls played into the channels but you could play balls up to his feet and know he wouldn’t lose the ball. With Gallagher his first touch isn’t great so you really need balls played in front of him so a shot is really his first touch. Balls coming in from the wings or threaded up from midfield. I saw the Dingles goals yesterday and they get a lot of balls coming in from the wings with plenty of pace on them. Hard to defend against. You could see why Kompany signed half a dozen wingers.

I don’t like his habit of getting cheap yellow cards. That tells me a lot about his attitude. He needs to smarten up. -

You’d think he’d be ok playing deeper from a skill set point of view but in reality he’s struggled there. -

Regarding our failure to win once we go behind. In todays paper it states that Forest have not won any of their last 40 top flight games after conceding the first goal. On another issue entirely - there were 27,608 fans at Ipswich yesterday to see them lose 1-0 to Lincoln City. 37,060 at Sunderland and 28,458 at Sheff Utd. -

He’s hit one or two like that in the past but you need to be in that position to hit them. -

I remember watching Forest playing a German team in the European Cup years ago. It was a real arm wrestle with both teams playing really well. The Germans in particular were defending brilliantly and had a answer to all the football Forest were playing. With about 5 minutes left the score was still 0-0 when one of the Forest centre halves fired a long ball down field. The two German centre halves had been magnificent all night but they got in a tangle over this ball and left it to each other. A Forest striker nipped in behind them and slotted the ball past the keeper to win the tie 1-0. All that brilliant defending but a straight forward long pass won the game. -

I like Buckley but I don’t believe in rewarding failure. He’s had several chances this season to grab a shirt and he’s failed every time. I’d have him on the bench but we need to look elsewhere on Tuesday. The only thing he’s got going for him is he’s more experienced than the other players in the frame. -

According to the fans who’ve watched all of the candidates Garrett is the player in form. The only thing going against him is we’d be playing three central midfield players who haven’t got much more than 20 first team games between them. -

There’s also Edun and Mola in contention for the Travis role. Maybe Garrett will start ? -
2 out of 3 isn’t bad but for a really tall guy he’s not a good header of the ball.

There are only two places for Gally. Playing up the middle or on the bench. Forget this wide striker bollocks. -

Keep having to change the defence and you get what happened today. A lack of communication leading to their player being played onside. -

He needs the ball played in front of him, as does Hirst.
