  1. A self-inflicted injury that was and one of the most stupid I've seen in the last few years. It was in the last few minutes at Wigan in the League 1 season. Bennett had been sent off and it was 0-0 so we were trying to see the game out. Chapman had the ball by our left wing corner flag and tried to beat a Wigan player instead of just thumping it away. He lost the ball and dived into the Wigan player to get it back,. A foul to Wigan and he had to go off leaving us with 9 men for the last few minutes. He then missed the rest of that season.
  2. Jordan Rhodes 90th minute winner for Wednesday.
  3. Sorry - the Forum was on 11/1 not 18/1.
  4. Steve Waggott told us in confidence at the last Fans Forum on 18/1 and since then Mowbray and the Sky commentator have both mentioned it.
  5. Finished 3-1 to Rovers, who go top of the table. I didn't see the whole game. Nolan came on as a second half sub for Evans and I thought he looked very neat and tidy in central midfield. His goal was just being in the right place to put away after Dack and someone else had made heavy weather of good chances.
  6. 3-1 now with 5 minutes to play - Dack. Looks like he'll get a full 90 minutes.
  7. Leicester started the second half well and equalised quickly but Joe Nolan has just put Rovers back in front.
  8. That'll be a tough challenge - Leicester are playing their under 23s.
  9. That would suggest they have given up on Kipre as a replacement for Davies?
  10. Bauer is out for the season. One reason they are in the market for Kipre.
  11. As far as I'm aware they have sold Fisher for an undisclosed (probably pretty small) fee and Pearson is likely to go to Bournemouth - again I can't see a huge fee there. Probably these will cover Whiteman's fee. Davies is reported to be signing a pre-contract with Celtic at the end of his contract so no fee there. Browne has signed a new contract and Johnson is likely to as well.
  12. He appears to have been on the bench tonight, unless they have another Hilton.
  13. Certainly Oldham for me. I remember a game on a Friday night with my lads who would have been quite young so early 90s would fit.
  14. Two very impressive result for Stanley and Morecambe last night. Stanley beating Hull, who were top of the table at kick-off. They are 4 points from the play-offs with 3,4 or 5 games in hand on everyone above them except Doncaster. Morecambe won 2-0 away at Exeter and are now in the third automatic promotion slot. There are a couple of teams with games in hand behind then but still impressive given their resources.
  15. That's right Parson.
  16. The comment matches exactly what Steve Waggott told the Fans Forum in confidence two weeks ago on 11th January I.e. before the Stoke and Swansea games. At the time I don’t think he had full agreement. The plan is a complete refurbishment not done since 1992, hence the big money.
  17. Rovers are planing to trial coverage of a home under 23 game soon.
  18. We’ve already lost away at Swansea Joey...........
  19. As MP says you can disagree if you want to but the numbers are against you. So far we have conceded 29 in 25 games, 1.12 per game. Last season 63 goals in 46 games, so 1.36 per game and the season before 69 at 1.5 per game.
  20. Second I think - North End were above us in 12th when we played them.
  21. There's a world of difference (and cost) between relaying or reseeding a pitch and a full renovation. Whilst there will have been regular reseedings the whole pitch structure down to the gravel and undersoil heating was last done in 1992.
  22. And what is forecast today and tomorrow are very similar conditions to that day.
  23. Really Tom? I know I'm in Penwortham but it can't be much different to Blackburn. It's been raining solidly here since last night and is scheduled to carry on until tomorrow night. Already our front garden is completely under water and it hasn't done that before in the 35 years we've been here.
  24. Whilst i think we can rightly complain about the state of the pitch I think the game would have been off anyway - it's been raining steadily all night and is not scheduled to stop until tomorrow night. If we had a bowling green for a pitch playing on it tonight would have ruined it.
