Of course it was tounge in cheek, but the more I think about it I'm not sure. As long as we're plodding along 5 or 6 points off the play offs it seems like most of the match going fans will be happy, if we won the first 6 or 7 games or so before drifting off into Mowbray land of strange form there might be a bit more discontent when fans are allowed back in. It's been a weird set up here for the past 10 years, and hasn't really changed under Mowbray apart from him still having the goodwill of a third division promotion.

Mowbray won't want a strong start as there will be some sort of pressure/expectation of keeping it up. If we start badly we can use the we're still looking for players etc excuse and then as we slowly drift up to mid table it will be widely lapped up as being 4,5,6,7 points off the play offs.

Does this mean we'll finally start to play in blue and white again at Forest, Bristol etc or are we just going to stick the new logo on last year's third kit and be done with it?

Won't be Hanley. Mowbray is prioritising someone who can pass the ball 20 yards back there rather than someone who can get there toe, head etc onto things and actually defend.

Going off the past two January windows when we were in decent positions, I'd say not a chance we would do it.

He'll be the false 9 in this latest Mowbray experiment, and IMO won't be anywhere near as effective as he was arriving late in the box behind the striker.

Very rare we wear our home kit away from home these days when there is no clash. Only 4 times in the last 2 seasons I believe. We should be wearing the blue and white at places we don't clash, this coming season we should be wearing it at Forest, Bristol, Middlesborough, Norwich, Stoke, Barnsley, Rotherham, Watford, Bournemouth, Luton & Brentford. We won't though.

Made me laugh when it went to half time and you could hear Neil Yardley reading the half time scores as normal like there were 9 or 10k in the ground. Who was he reading them too?

Miserable season that was. I had started going as a kid a couple of seasons before but this is the first one where I started to become a bit obsessed and thought losing was the norm. Crazy to think what followed after this season.
