Well obviously! We're not though. As ever with a new season I have that "new season optimism". Out-of the 3 relegated sides I'm glad we're playing Bournemouth, huge transition there with Howe leaving and a few of there better players going. Think we can get a result today, but also wary they have some good players. 2-2

Well it's on the fans forum to tell Waggott some home truths on Monday. I imagine it will pass off and go ahead exactly how Waggott wants it.
-
I think Mowbray has already come out and said Williams will start, can see another scenario similar to Mulgrew last season.
-
The one thing Rathbone has over Buckley, Davenport etc is games. Over 100 at a really tough level, I'd be more confident of throwing him in the side than the others. I imagine its nonsense anyway.

Yeah, think his dad has lived in Blackburn since he played for us .
-
His dad certainly wasn't playing for us in 1996 ? Anyway, I'm sure i read he was a Utd fan.

So confused ?

Yeah, the whole thing is going to be a bit of a mess. Are they opening up the Darwen End lower to help with social distancing too? No mention of it on that article.
-
What about the JW lower? Like I said in my earlier post, I think unfortunately a lot of long standing fans will feel the same as this.
-
It really is worrying thinking of the numbers that are actually going to go back after all this. I genuinely think Waggot thinks that everyone who had a ST last season will come flocking back when they can.

I just posted in the football italia thread and it got me feeling all nostalgic. Early 90's when there wasn't that much coverage on TV and football wasn't in your face 24/7 I couldn't get enough of them, Match, WSC, 90 Minutes & a bit later FourFourTwo being my favourites, but in truth I would get anything I could get my hands on. I also remember my grandad showing me some shoot magazines that he had in his loft from the 70s around that time and thinking it looked like a completely different game. Did anyone else used to collect football magazines before football turned in the 24 hour a day news event that it seems to be now?
-
Thought the one you were told about wasn't a defender though?

Have to admit I'm not that fussed about being a guinea pig for the trial run, but how will they determine who can go to that game? First x amount of ST holders who buy presuming they go on sale next week? ST holders who only live within x miles of Ewood? I'm really considering what to do this year with a season ticket, with all the uncertainty, what the matchday experience will be like, the price rise etc. Be interesting to see how this trial goes if it happens.

Or more likely it will just go towards running costs.

What about a centre half?!

BRFC - The Nostalgia Thread

First time I have seen that Garner goal against Liverpool in 83, cracking finish. -
I'd be surprised if that 900k is really there.
-
It's actually on there, it's another £50 on whatever there half season ticket is for the remaining home games on ifollow, plus all midweek away games. We wouldn't even need anything like that though, as supply wont outstrip demand.
-
Talking to some lads at work today who are Stoke season ticket holders and they pointed me in the direction of this, and there plans for next season. What are peoples thoughts on this? https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-season-ticket-streams-4490827

Yeah I thought the same, everything about Sarr to me screams a league one Tosin, Hopefully we'll get someone back there who wants to defend first and foremost, and not somebody who looks pretty on the ball.

Season Predictions 2020-2021
MarkBRFC replied to Hoochie Bloochie Mama's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
At the moment with this squad, I'd predict anywhere between 15th-12th. Even if we're to sign a couple of good defenders before the window shuts, we still have to trust that Mowbray can organise and knit the team together to be better than midtable, which I'm not sure that he can. -
Thing is with those premier league clubs, the ST's will sell out straight away when they put them on sale. We don't have that luxury, we lose ST holders every year with nobody to replace them.
-
Of course it was tounge in cheek, but the more I think about it I'm not sure. As long as we're plodding along 5 or 6 points off the play offs it seems like most of the match going fans will be happy, if we won the first 6 or 7 games or so before drifting off into Mowbray land of strange form there might be a bit more discontent when fans are allowed back in. It's been a weird set up here for the past 10 years, and hasn't really changed under Mowbray apart from him still having the goodwill of a third division promotion.
-
Mowbray won't want a strong start as there will be some sort of pressure/expectation of keeping it up. If we start badly we can use the we're still looking for players etc excuse and then as we slowly drift up to mid table it will be widely lapped up as being 4,5,6,7 points off the play offs.
-
Does this mean we'll finally start to play in blue and white again at Forest, Bristol etc or are we just going to stick the new logo on last year's third kit and be done with it?
