It's always a dangerous game looking that far ahead, when you start predicting x point from y games something will trip you up. If we are totally realistic, and not getting too giddy from beating two of the worst sides in the league, I can see 2 wins, 1 or 2 defeats and 1 or 2 draws from that little period. As for the Gallagher debate, I think he has all the tools to play that lone forward role and be our focal point of the likes of Armstrong, Dack, Holtby etc playing off him, but at the minute he doesn't look a goal threat at all, and ultimately that's what he will be judged on.

I can only imagine it happening if we ever won promotion.

Great win that. Feared the worst when I heard Evans name on the team sheet. Real chance for some momentum now, let's see what this side is made of.
-
I dunno, I'm pretty old school and yes we should have 2 ready made first team players for each position, but those players should be made to work for the shirt, if someone is playing well then they should keep it until there form drops off. Wheres the incentive for an individual to play well if Mowbray is going to chop and change every week regardless of how you play?

Same thing Bennett does at right back.

Evans coming in strikes me as TM trying to keep everyone happy, and another reason why I think we'll never be above mid table with him in charge. No other reason what so ever to have Evans in ahead of Johnson.

Has that photo got some of the young lads in too from the U23s? But yeah, lose Evans, Smallwood, Samuel, Chapman & Brereton straight away from that squad and I'm sure the wage bill would be a lot healthier. -

Cunningham could easily be back in the Cardiff side next season if they don't go back up, if they do then yes he could well be available. We don't pay transfer fees for defenders though, so that rules us out. Brighton have already said they think Walton will be there number one next season, i think they will go down and can see a bigger club taking a punt on Ryan who is there current number one. Walton will have had two full seasons at this level and be ready to step in as there number one. If Dack hits over 15 goals again at this level surely someone will test us with an offer? He'll only have 12 months left on his contract in the summer too, is he going to sign a new deal here if we're still plodding along in mid table? Can't see it. -

3 decent signings yes, none of them will be here next season though, along with Dack and Graham probably moving on that's 5 players we need already for next season before we even look to strengthen. -
Babbel?

Online allocation probably sold out, they don't tend to put on many on there at once. Just ring them up, there will be loads left. Think they go off sale at 3pm, then they are also on sale at the game tomorrow.

I think it's the away form that will see us fall short of any top 6 aspirations. I can still see us being taken apart far too easily away from home unfortunately, as shown at WBA, anyone who attacks us with any sort of pace will still score regularly past us. -
An evening with Matt jansen

It is a bit strange that someone who only signs up for the 1875 club for £15 a season can get tickets for this for £10, yet someone who stumps up £300-400 and doesn't join the 1875 club has to pay a fiver more. Seems like 1875 members are held in higher regard than season ticket holders sometimes. -
I wouldn't say it was that clear. Anyway, even if you are talking about fans who live more local, the point still stands, just because they are Rovers fans who can afford to go every now and then and probably have the time to do so, why should they prioritise Rovers over something else they enjoy doing? I have been a Rovers obsessive since I was around 6/7 years old and still am, but I can certainly understand that Blackburn Rovers isn't the most important priority of every Rovers fan out there, people enjoy doing other things and you or me have no right to tell them that they should be going to Rovers over doing anything else (when financially and time allowing as you said). Get over yourself.
-
I would never say to anyone, whether they had the money/time or not, to prioritise something like going to Rovers over something else. For example, two lads who years ago I went to games with every week, both now live in north Staffordshire. They are both doing well for themselves and could afford it, and probably would have time to go to a game every now and then too but don't, they follow everything religiously and could tell you everything that is happening at the club, yet just don't have any real desire to attend games at the moment, and haven't done I'd say without checking since Hughes left. If I rang them up today and said "what are you doing on Saturday", and they replied with "nothing yet" and then I followed it up with right, "you have a free day, and can obviously afford it, so you must go to watch Rovers on Saturday, you should prioritise it" They would probably laugh in my face and put the phone down. How is it any of your business to state that?!

This statement ?
-
Think It will be a similar team to last weekend. Just Travis for Buckley for me.
-
Obviously a talented player, i'm just wondering to where TM will play him. I'm inclined to think that it might mean more of this "split strikers" nonsense with Dack in the "false 9" position. Travis & Johnson holding, Holtby just ahead of them with a front 3 of Gallagher on the right, Dack in the middle and Downing on the left.
-
Or he could be on his way to Leeds....
-
Imagine the scenes if he ends up signing for someone else after all this ?
-
Could be in TM's mind that Dack won't be here in January/July and that Holtby is a ready made replacement.
-
The only way you progress in football is to continually sign better players than you already have, I think we can all agree that Holtby would be an upgrade on anyone we have in midfield, so it's a move we should all be wanting to happen.
-
Could be Graham out to get Holtby in?! I mean its funny that Graham is linked away and a new signing is linked to coming in within a few days of each other...
-
If he's going with 3 at the back on a regular basis, couldn't we line up with Holtby, Johnson & Travis as the midfield 3 with Dack in behind Gallagher?
-
No way is Downing not playing. Can just imagine Rothwell's & Chapman's faces should this deal happen ?
