Definitely one to bite us on the arse tomorrow looking at all the positivity. Bristol City decent record at Ewood winning 3 of the last 6 since we came back up to the Champ in 2018. Think we lose 1-0 in a really frustrating encounter to bring everyone back down to earth. -

Striker, winger (more specifically pace, as we have plenty of players who can play out wide but the problem is they are all slower than me), and a centre half is where we're a bit short for me. -

Stick that game at Villa Park or Elland Road or wherever really and there is an intensity about it. Matty is correct that the Wembley midweek games are as flat as an Ewood cup game in Mowbray's tenure. -

Yep that's the one. 2-0 up and it ended up 2-2. Another fun fact from that game, Mark Venus blasted a penalty over the Blackburn End! -

We won our 1st games after the September, October and November International breaks last season. -

Starting from the 26-27 season they are getting rid of the October international break, but making the September international break twice as long. So Rovers would play on the 19th September, but then the next match would be on the 10th October. Not sure which one is better. The November and March international breaks remain as they are, as well as the June internationals. That looks to be the case until at least 2030. -

A few years in the prem and one season playing "the right way" has gotten to them it seems. -

I dunno, we beat them at Ewood last season. Before that though they had a decent record here. -
Was just a short term month for a loan to Macc I think? It seemed more 4231 to me last night, with Tyjon in the "10" role. Bloxham left and Edmondson right.
-
Ah brill thanks, him and the right back were the only ones I couldn't put names too last night. Whitehall too, can definitely tell he has something, just a shame about all those injuries.
-
First u21 game attended for a good while tonight with being in town ready for tomorrow. Who was the left back? Thought he was brilliant. Tyjon was very good, and one of the centre halves stood out too, Litherland? As mentioned above. Thought Bloxham looked really sharp too, just guilty of taking too many touches at times and over thinking things. Mafoumbi was disappointing but understandable he's adjusting to the country and English football etc. Enjoyable watch for the most part, especially 20 mins after half time.

Much better window than envisaged definitely. Still think we're short at centre half and up front, and pinning all our pace hopes on a lad who has never played a professional game isn't great. I like the Gueye, Ohashi, Baker and Cantwell signings though. Also think Beck could be a shrews one along with the experience of Weimann. 7/10 for me. -

That's Godo, don't think it's filtered through to him that it's not happening yet. -

We could play like that for a bit while Cantwell gets up to speed, don't see him starting games for a while if he's had no pre season. Also think we'll carry on with Hedges/Dolan/JRC out wide for a while and the new lads will be off the bench to stretch the game late on. So while we have improved the overall squad, I'm not totally convinced we have the first 11. -

Agreed. A couple of injuries at center half and we're knackered. -

Only nixon has said its agreed. Nixon also said Ohashi was in the country when he wasn't, which Elliot was saying at the time. Who knows which one is correct. -

Well even at a million quid, I'd much prefer to have the 27 year old asset who has performed in this league before and knows what it's about over 2 young kids on loan, one which has never played a professional game. -

Could argue that if Cantwell can recapture his form, there is potentially a 10-15m player there in 12-18 months. If Gueye somehow scores 20 goals this season theres a huge potential profit there. Not every saleable asset has to be 19-23 -

I think it's clear that isn't going to happen. For me, Dembele for 800k is a better move than two young kids on loan. We wouldn't pay for Dembele and Cantwell is my guess, which is ridiculous. -
