Yep, Rotherham away August 2023 was the last league penalty we had, which we missed. The last one in the league we had before that was October 2022, which we scored. So two league penalty's in just over 2 years. We have had 3 penalty's in cup games in that period too, two scored & one missed.

Travis was all action box to box when he broke through, Mowbray coached it out of him for some reason. Brilliant yesterday i thought and was easily man of the match.

Obviously a long way to go yet, but for me it doesn't look good. I've seen the script of "play well" but not being able to score a few times, usually coupled with giving away soft goals at the other end. We're on less point's than we were at this stage last season. We don't have a big cushion over the bottom 3 like we did when our real death spiral started last season. We don't have a 30 goal a season player to drag us over the line this season For me, If we're not in that bottom 3 come mid-late December I will be amazed, and from there I don't think we get out of it.

I dunno. If Eustace was a free agent I could see someone like a Coventry looking at him, I don't think they would want him enough to pay compensation thought even if he would be fairly cheap.

Nah Brereton was legit injured at this point, you might be thinking of the season after under JDT.

There is some connection. Prior to Cantwell coming into the team, we had JRC/Weimann on the right, Dolan central and Hedges left, whilst not a great deal of quality going forward, they all tracked back and helped our full backs out by not leaving them exposed, and they were also playing on there "correct" side without having to cut inside all the time. Bringing Cantwell onto the left has definitely upset that dynamic, time and time again against Swansea Beck was being left exposed, at one point Beck went ballistic at him for casually jogging back while he was up against it. Did the same on Saturday against these. No doubt that Cantwell is a quality player, but for me he needs moving central so he doesn't have to get involved as much tracking back, because he isn't going to do it. Hedges left, Cantwell central, and Dolan/JRC on the right is what I would go with if we are keeping this system.
