  1. If it’s value, then why not. Nothing shameful about it, whole point of betting (or any stock/currency market) is finding value. I certainly should’ve backed us to go down when we were 20+/1, huge value.
  2. You reckon? Away from brfcs can’t say I’ve heard much of that. Indeed, certainly at Ewood he seems to be getting cut a fair bit of slack by a load who never warmed to JDT in the first place.
  3. I made an exception for JDT as I found him extremely articulate and charismatic, him aside I’ve hardly listened to a manager (or player) since Ke*n - platitudes and cliches on repeat, no thanks.
  4. Remember when ‘Lawro’ used to predict the results on the BBC website, somebody crunched the numbers and Liverpool would win the league every season by about 30 points if they had come true… defo the same with the Chadster’s predictions on here 😅
  5. I don’t blame anybody for knocking it on the head, indeed I imagine a good few more will do just that this summer when it comes to ST renewals. Your time, your money, your sanity, your morals. However, if we ended up with just the Chadster in the ground, they still wouldn’t give a shiny shite, indeed Swag I imagine would close the stands and sack the cleaners with relish (and still ‘hit his targets’) This is just not a normal club with normal owners that react to things like a collapsing customer base. We are fecked from where I’m standing.
  6. Boycotts can and do work… they just don’t work here as the collapse in crowds have shown - they couldn’t give a monkeys.
  7. Not far off 20,000 ST holders as they bought the club. 6,000 next season? That’s your protest and it would have alarm bells clanging everywhere else (not here though, obviously).
  8. That reminds me, wasn’t there supposed to be another fan takeover day before the end of the season?
  9. It’s always tough for managers going into a club mid season as by default it’s usually because the team is struggling. Certainly no easy task to turn it all round, so I do emphasise with the job he has… However, many, many managers still get a new bounce at struggling clubs - he hasn’t and there no getting away that results have been poor thus far.
  10. A landslide on brfcs maybe, I’d imagine it’d be closer to a 52/48 situation in the wider fanbase. ’Vote Venky or be Bury’
  11. I just read from you that if they could get through the court case so back to funding it as previously and appoint execs more to your liking etc then my interpretation of your post was that you’d be willing for them to stay. If that is incorrect and regardless of legalities and appointments you’ve unequivocally had enough and they have to go whatever, then great, totally with you.
  12. So against all evidence of a sorry 14 years, as I suspected you still hold out hope for these owners. Face it Rev, you’ll never really get to ‘Enough’.
  13. I never get this ‘the message board would’ve gone mad’? Yes a few dozen folk on here would’ve moaned. And? You can’t cry poverty when you let tens of millions walk out the door for nowt.
  14. He deserves nothing. It’s a results business. Is he the best man to get us out of the third division is the only question that matters (or it would at a normal club, but he’ll be here regardless so let’s hope he is).
  15. Of course it’s irrelevant to the here and now, it was 10 years ago - but it’s a fair historical comparison to make - bloke comes in during a season to take over a struggling side. It’s a message board, we can chew the fat over such things, if you aren’t interested then fair enough.
  16. Again with the ‘free ride’, ‘free pass’. Who gives these clowns on the ground a free pass? Does Swag get an easy ride on here then?
  17. Why is it irrelevant? I’m comparing Rovers managers. People do that all the time, and why not? We compare good ones, we compare poor ones. Folk have been talking about how much time a bloke who can’t win a match should get, and that’s a fair question (not that he will go anywhere even if he doesn’t win a single game and we end up in the third division). So as an *example* Appleton came in during a season with the team struggling (parallels, no?) and was pretty much deemed as being poor from day dot. Yet since coming in this guy has been much poorer, MA got 15 games.
  18. I think that’s Herbie’s intention in re posting now. Amazing how planning for mediocrity and the bare minimum hasn’t led to a decent season.
  19. Unfortunately for them they made a shite managerial appointment (well, actually not that unfortunate as they hired him).
  20. As the other thread’s been locked… Appleton - 15 games, four wins. So JE wins the next four on the bounce and he’s just about getting up to MA’s level.
  21. No pressure, no targets, no drive, no ambition, no hope. So why are fans asked to fork out for some of the most expensive STs in the division?
  22. Appleton - 15 games, four wins. So JE wins the next four on the bounce and he’s just about getting up to MA’s level.
  23. The problem with this fanbase is that a good number of them still don’t particularly have much of an issue with the owners at all, so it’s not a case of fans having no balls for the fight to oust them - they don’t even think we are in a fight. All that is going to happen is yet more fans will walk away this summer, and a certain family will still be in situ.
  24. Because I find it infuriating that you still go around the houses month after month. Maybe add just the odd post calling out the owners (unprompted) instead of always going after the hired hands (they’ve hired) and you won’t get ‘stalked’. These people have destroyed our football club but I still get the impression that if they employed, say, a CEO more to your liking you’d be more than happy to give them chance #4567. A real blind spot and I’ve never worked out why you’ve always had it.
