  1. It’s only Masher, he likes playing the contrarian ‘voice of reason’ role to calm the over emotional oiks of brfcs, overextended himself this time and made himself look silly.
  2. Of course we weren’t mid table in the 80s, we spent the majority of it in the second tier top 6, despite no billionaires in the vicinity. A club with ambition and standards, despite *actually* being skint.
  3. Every fanbase has fans that only turn up when it’s ’rosy in the garden’.
  4. Yep. There was definitely nothing different here going on post relegation in that summer of 2012 that led to that collapse in ST sales apart from crap fans…
  5. They’re ’working on it’, I wonder if will we see it in action at the same time as the ceremony to rename the Riverside after Tony Parkes?
  6. As that generation of black players did everywhere. Appalling, but a completely irrelevant thing to add to the debate about protesting the stewardship of the club in 2025. Read the room for once and leave the earnest stuff on the shelf today.
  7. It was turned up, briefly, last Feb. We then beat Stoke, Eustace arrived and it was all ‘get behind ‘em’ again.
  8. You are still at it. 🙄 A half empty Ewood Park, that cauldron of intimidation and hate, you know full well said line crossing chants don’t happen here, so give it a rest. It will achieve sweet FA, but if a few fans want to tell Steve Waggott to get out of the club, good for them.
  9. You know what he means, Masher. Chants etc, just like at the ground. Should the occupants of NO1 be arrested for singing at Swag on Tuesday? Give the po faced routine a rest for a day.
  10. We’ll get a price hike for our troubles too..
  11. Though the comments are the standard apologists ‘we’ve no money because of crap gates’ and Dingle trolls, cesspit. Alas far more folk will read those comments than those that balance them out on here.
  12. Not sure it’s as black and white as that, Herbie. I hear plenty of older fans too who come out with the ‘where would we be without them?’, ‘shit support’, £20 million a year’. Collective Stockholm Syndrome for the majority of the fanbase, young or old.
  13. Well, obviously . Still a silly opinion to have.
  14. Few on here were delighted when Gestede came in, by the looks of it solely due to scoring a few second tier goals here a decade ago.
  15. The posters on here weren’t being ‘cap doffers’ and ‘hand wringers’, they were ‘bleating’ that ‘it wouldn’t work’, because it wouldn’t work, that’s due to the fact that the Ewood crowd just isn’t up for it - as we’ve seen over 15 sorry years.
  16. Slight overreaction there 😅
  17. Think you are giving Joe Public far too much credit when if comes to critical thinking!
  18. Not really, as some players, a Fleck style free here, a 19 year old from Brighton on loan there, will arrive on deadline day so it will placate them. Even if they don’t arrive, it’s all ‘FFP, though!’, ‘crap crowds’, ‘who’d buy us?’. Where’s the nearest cliff?
  19. Going to be right scrap down the bottom too. Good job we had that six game winning streak…
  20. Sky night game in January at £30+ on a poor run of form against the very much secondary local rival, tough sell this one - though PNE will have 6000+ there so job done for Swag regardless.
  21. A Rovers fan as a professional in a media outlet, does make a difference. Sharpe was much more likely to take the club to task as there’s an underlying passion there.
  22. Yep, seems to be ‘oh it’s January, is it? Comes around quick, best get some feelers out’.
  23. And I actually pay money out of my own pocket to an organisation that sees the set up he heads as a ‘friend’, ergo the only conclusion of such a descriptor is that he’s someone they feel they can work with for the betterment of Blackburn Rovers. More fool them (and more fool me for still paying it).
  24. To be fair to Pep no wonder he’s had a touch of hubris considering the media thinks he’s re-invented the sport and every club down to the Dog & Duck league utilise his methods (badly). English football is now crafted in his image.
  25. I’ve never really gone in for some of the more outlandish theories with this lot. Occam’s Razor and all that - they just don’t give a feck, but are content enough to let a long forgotten impulse purchase half way round the world tick over on their books somewhere, especially now it’s trying to ‘wash its own face’ with a very small flannel. But Masher’s being his usual contrarian self if he’s trying to argue that these owners ever make a decision with an eye on the Premier League.
