  1. Excellent Test match at Edgbaston. Lets hope for more of the same, especially as I'll be at Trent Bridge day 2 and 3!
  2. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/january/rovers-land-armstrong-on-loan/
  3. Squad numbers obviously mean bugger all these days, but the fact he's number 7 suggests he will be playing wide again...
  4. Thought I was watching my 92/93 'GOALS GOALS GOALS' VHS
  5. Some consultation with the Darwen Enders pre STs going on sale could have helped.
  6. Get your point Ian, but I think late goals are slightly different. Remember 'Fergie Time' and all that, nowt to do with luck (or refs! ), his team scored a load of last minute goals because they were very fit players with a never say die attitude. By the same token, a team that concedes a load of last minute goals wil be lacking something
  7. I doubt it, the top 6 have gone off on another trajectory completely. Best of the rest? Possibly.
  8. Was it not because yesterday was the global EFL live game?
  9. “Who needs that Yank when we’ve got John Phelan?!’’
  10. Of course, probably not the best team talk though!
  11. Just spotted this, not the greatest man management from Lambert... http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16389387.Ex-Rangers_star_Charlie_Adam_hits_back_at_Stoke_boss_Paul_Lambert_for_Shaqiri_swipe/
  12. QPR too, only open the bottom if demand.
  13. Loads of Championship clubs have the capacity to give bigger away followings than the standard 3k maximum, but it only seems to be the Lanky clubs that actually do - Rovers, PNE, Bolton, Wigan.
  14. If an away side sell out the top tier at Millwall, that’s it, you don’t get the bottom tier too. Now that’s partly down to ensuring the Bushwackers don’t have a ruckus, but it also means the away side don’t attack a packed end of their support. But that just doesn’t come into the thinking with us, as Stuart says a full Darwen End 4/5 tines a season will be part of the club’s budgeting for the season.
  15. So we don’t just get a total budget that’s agreed at the Pune summer meeting?
  16. Thought I was watching the highlights on one of my old Scotch VHS tapes.
  17. Alex says it just ‘feels like it’ and asks for the stats, he isn’t saying anything untrue. Is debate allowed?
  18. I haven’t seen any mass hysteria, just disappointment. We looked ok until the subs. Lack of strength in depth, as we all know, need reinforcements seems to be the general consensus. Didn’t expect one of those silly ‘hysteria’, ‘negativity’ posts from you Mark.
  19. UK Conquest... sorry Quest
  20. You’ve got to be very careful taking off your best players as early as we did today. 68 minutes is far too early to be replacing Graham, he is invaluable in holding on to the ball and releasing pressure. Now if it’s that he can’t last much longer than hour, we are going to have problems...
  21. Every message board in the country reacts the same way to conceding a last minute equaliser. Folk are extremely frustrated and say so. They then move on to suggesting why their club didn’t win the game. You know how it works, so what do you expect to see? 10 pages of ‘ah well’. ‘It’s a point’, ‘we move on’. ‘Never mind’ ? Do you try and shut down debate in the pub, at work, wherever if someone has the temerity to make a point you deem ‘negative’?
  22. I’m easy with whatever and wherever it is, it just needs a bit of help to get going.
  23. Called John ain’t he?
  24. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16394069.unknown-adds-to-the-intrigue-of-rovers-championship-return/ Sales approaching 10,000 according to Rich Sharpe, right who’s doing the counting in JH’s absence? AAK?
