  1. We’ve sacked one manager in a decade. The rules of football don’t apply here.
  2. Does make me laugh when you see replies to club facebook posts going ‘we have the worst fans going, never get behind the players’. Aye, ok. Our lot don’t know they’re born.
  3. Neither do I, I wouldn’t buy a ST (especially at these prices) if I didn’t intend to go to them. But important, milestone life stuff also happens between August and May.
  4. So a big pal or family member were due to married at the same time as Swansea at home… and you’d say ‘no, can’t make it, sorry’.
  5. Back in the day we used to arrange our holidays, family events etc around the fixture list. No chance I’d do that now, imagine missing out on a good September deal for your hols so you don’t miss Millwall at home.
  6. Christ, he’ll spot quite the difference in club culture.
  7. Hmmm? I wonder, perhaps that they are now all on TV so half your ST Holders don’t bother - I.e desolate ground.
  8. Of course, same everywhere. But that’s the point, midweeks are desolate at Ewood.
  9. No he’s right, Swansea on a Tuesday night in the dead of winter will have c6,000 folk actually in the ground regardless of the ‘11,000’ they will put on the scoreboard.
  10. Interesting though that he was always the in the shadows ‘owner’s representative’, I.e not a formal corporate position, like a COO. Now he has nowhere to hide, so for that alone I’d be surprised if they didn’t bring in a puppet/in name only CEO.
  11. ‘Lads, quick before you go to Marbs!’ Bit like that time we launched our kit on a manky coat hanger hung up on a rusty gantry.
  12. Few social media vids, a’ wear your old shirts for our 150th game with pride’, some fruit of the loom-esque tat in the shop… and that’ll be about it.
  13. He has provided plenty, he’s been a key member of a side who’s spent years at the top end of the table. Not sure anybody thinks he’s PL quality, but good luck to him if he has ambitions to get there one day.
  14. He provides goals and assists, the opposite of flattering to deceive.
  15. He doesn’t need to get a PL gig to earn decent money, I.e the going rate for a decent Championship player.
  16. Exactly the same reasons as my father in law. Be interesting to see the sales figures across the Championship this summer after fans have now seen just how many games will be moved for/shown on TV.
  17. End of the day football is (or should be/was) about winning things. So fair play to Ange, and Tottenham fans will remember Bilbao far more than those glorious 4th place finishes…
  18. Think you are giving your standard football fan a bit too much credit re critical thinking skills…
  19. Not stooges from what I’ve seen. Most fans I’ve spoken to away from brfcs have had little issue with the decision.
  20. Man Utd and Tottenham being crap (and the CL places going down to a not exactly elite fifth) has led to this narrative to how open and meritocratic the Premier League now is. Top 4? Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea. The more things change…
  21. One bad season is was it used to take, but this season has shown that the promoted three are often so bad it just isn’t the case anymore.
  22. …and managers, and minority shareholders.
  23. They are fortunate when it comes to support, good luck to them on that, but as one of only three league clubs in the whole north east of England it can’t lead to anything but a big fanbase. Compare and contrast to hemmed in Blackburn Rovers.
  24. ‘How much cheaper can we go’? We can always go cheaper here. Look at the absolute dross we had on the pitch in the late Bowyer era or under Coyle (him included).
