  1. That’s my bridge you’re trying to sell, the bloody cheek of it…..
  2. We now have 14 going against Brum, it was 3 earlier in the week. I don't care about the pricing, its the product on the pitch and feel good factor created by the players, manager and winning games thats bringing us to Ewood on Saturday.
  3. 7 wins in 9 games, it’s been a tremendous reaction after the Fulham hammering All credit to the Mowbray and the players.
  4. Nobody would dispute that Ulrich, but we are being told by posters on this very site that things have changed more recently behind the scenes, if that is true we should be strengthening not selling, that theory will be tested shortly.
  5. I think the point people are making is he'd at least have a go, which is far better than the most of the blockers in the top order. Go down fighting rather than blocking your way to 5 and getting out.....Parkinson and Mahmood should also be in the squad.
  6. Sadly Broad and Anderson can't help the awful technique of the batting line-up Matty. The bowlers performed well, the fielders dropped the catches, batters can't bat, its going to be a long tour.
  7. How many clubs pushing for promotion sold the leading goal scorer mid season and went up? I can only assume you've been on the vino Paul, what a terrible idea. I could buy into this if it was pre-season, but December......
  8. Lets face it, we wouldn't be having this conversation if the likes of John Williams still ran the club, or if we were, he'd be front and centre explaining the reasoning behind the decision making. Whether its years of missed opportunities to attract new fans the the club with tickets deals, whether its the current state of the stadium or the pitch, whether its missed club sponsorship opportunities, whether its awful service on the concourse or the club shop being threadbare and closed the Saturday before the season starts when the new kit was launched, it matters not, these owners just don't care, add another £20m to the debt at the end of the season, job done.... The billionaire owners couldn't careless about the brand, they couldn't careless about the history or the people of town, thats the bottom line in all of this and it won't change until we have a change of ownership, that much is clear. Badly advised?
  9. I was at each one of those for sure, Plymouth in the rain several times too, Brighton, Portsmouth..... Who says the weather is better down South. Safe journey o2g.
  10. Good effort Ian. Been many times in 80's, seemed to always rain on that open end, they even took pity on us one year and put us in the seats.
  11. On paper we shouldn't get anything from this game, a club flush with Premiership cash and parachute money should hammer the paupers from Blackburn, but we all know football isn't played on paper...... Bournemouth 1 Rovers 1 If we manage to get a draw I'd be over the moon and maybe just maybe be persuaded this side could be going places. Looking forward to the challenge, come on you Super Blues.
  12. I wonder if The Glazers at United are using that excuse? How about Rangers, Celtic or Liverpool? Stop apologising for the club, it’s becoming tiresome and embarrassing.
  13. Tried to buy some items from the club shop earlier today without success. They wanted customer number, old address information, new address information, my blood type and a hair sample........ I gave up in the end, so thats another £200 they've lost in income, that could have increased the contract offer they've given to Nyambe by 50%.
  14. I remember Sutton saying recently that the players at Blackburn were lining up to punch Le Saux, but Batty go there first, he had a massive chip on his shoulder apparently. He was a quality player for us though, I remember (I think I remember) him making his debut the same day as Kevin Gallagher at home against Liverpool? didn't we hammer Liverpool that day 4-1 or 4-0? Memory not what it used to be 😁
  15. The first order of business for this football club should be to secure the services of the current crop of players, Rothwell aside, I believe they'd all sign new deals if the offers were good enough, use the Armstrong money to get them signed up, its not rocket science, you keep your best players come what may. The next order of business should be the sign Brereton up to a new lucrative deal, without his goals this season we're going nowhere, another no brainer. Kaminski needs a better deal, a longer deal, he's a quality keeper, sign him to a better deal now, or risk losing him for nothing. Anything left bring some bodies in, ask the owners for a marquee signing, experienced campaigner to carry this young crop through the winter months and maybe just maybe we can sneak into the playoffs, then anything can happen. Over to you Venkys, have you changed? Really?
  16. You play your best team, why no Broad and Anderson? Broad has Warner in his pocket, 3 more left handers in the Aussie top order, Broad should be in the side and Anderson if fit plays. Rubbish England, play your best side.
  17. Ashes starts tonight’s, 11pm BT Sports, but my preference is Test Match Special BBC 5 live sports extra 11pm. Come on England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
