  1. It’s nothing like saying Bryan Douglas can’t play football anymore….. I could name plenty of song writers that were/are still writing good songs into older age, McCartney hasn’t written a decent song in decades.
  2. When was the last time McCartney wrote a decent song? He certainly can't sing anymore.
  3. What is this Friday night England game stuff all about? Do they not know what decisions like this mean? Blokes around the country are today being dragged to towns and cities Christmas shopping? Instead of settling down to watch England with a cold beer? Not me of course, I rule the roost in this house.......... See you in Sheffield at around 1pm 🙄 I'll be the one looking miserable trying to persuade the Mrs I do have some Welsh blood - Armenia V Wales 2pm!
  4. Look at The Riverside, amazing to see it packed to the rafters.
  5. The Same Old Blues by Proud Mary. Underrated album that went under many peoples radars. Give it a listen if your tastes stretch across country, rock and the blues.
  6. Spot on. One or two fishing in here today, my advice, don’t bite.
  7. What has Benson, our goalkeeping coach, done to you Mercer? Run over your cat? You've been throwing this cr@p out for years now, you even got a few on the hook a while back until Kaminski credited him with pushing his career forward and his impact on Rayas career needs no introduction. Now you THINK he's our set piece coach 🤣 Give over man, hope you're well by the way 👍
  8. A fitting tribute supported from all side of the ground as Miller says above, the fans did Birdy proud last night, well done everyone, I sure his family will have appreciated that in this difficult time.
  9. I don't mind admitting in, I'm in full SULK mode this morning, if she asks me if we can go to the bloody garden centre one more time, its winter FFS! I'll just add, I love watching this side, I don't like seeing us get beat, but they're an exciting side to watch and this manager is special, can we keep him........ Onwards and upwards.
  10. Its bloody freezing, I've just seen a penguin arguing with a polar bear over a Hollands Pie.
  11. Can’t disagree with any of that. If your mate is well into crypto, he could have free money waiting for him based on my original post that opened this thread. Let him know @speeeeeeedie if he owns ERC20 coins he’ll be quids in.
  12. Football without fans is nothing, Sunday, 12pm kick off in East Anglia chips away at your love for the game, but on the flip side I'll wager we take an excellent following and I salute every single one of you. Norwich 1 Rovers 3 (3 Duffy own goals and the Rovers fans come away delighted)
  13. Think I’ll give this debate a miss……😂 Echo and The Bunnymen tickets out tomorrow, should I or shouldn’t I…….?
  14. Bought Richard Ashcroft tickets today for his gig at the wonderful Halifax Peace Hall next summer. Arguably the best British song writer over the past 30yrs.
  15. I watched England v Tonga at the weekend, what a load of rubbish, half empty stadium, as dull as dishwater. I'll not be watched 2nd test.....
  16. You know what IraC? The Sheff Utd cup game last season reminded me of what the club/fanbase are capable of, we could have sold 10,000 tickets for that match, the players were superb on the day against clearly better opposition, a buzz in the town, the Sheffield streets packed with Rovers fans, it really gave me hope for the future. All this against a backdrop of incompetence and absent owners, imagine what it could be like with a steady hand/hands running things. Keep the faith pal.
  17. I spent so much of my time being bitter, not going to games and generally being miserable because of these idiots. I took the decision a to try and forget them, support the club, shirt and players, but its hard when you know you've got them in the background, knowing I wouldn't trust any of them to find their own arse with both hands. I hope they go bust to be honest, I hope they suffer as much as the businesses they closed down by allowing that relegation to happen under king rat. This club will never die, clubs like ours always survive and this one will rise again, once they scurry back under the rock from where they came, but until that happens, its crisis after crisis after crisis.
  18. The last vinyl I bought was 'Rain Dogs' by Tom Waits only last week, something about vinyl that brings another element to the listening experience, even though music platforms and CD's are better quality, maybe its just the nostalgia we all crave for.
  19. Who remembers the good old days back in 2011/12 when the only thing we had to worry about was Venkys not paying back the £10m overdraft to Barclays, KPMG finding holes in the accounts and the players under threat of not being paid. Oh wait a minute........
  20. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23874466.dolan-opens-mental-health-blackburn-future/ Candid interview here from 21yrs old Tyrhys Dolan.
  21. Awful conditions, torrential rain for the full 80 minutes, it was never going to be a spectacle. On the other hand the France v SA quarter final was the best rugby match I've possibly ever seem from any code, it was simply fantastic from start to finish, SA winning 29-28 with the last kick of the game, tremendous.
  22. Fleetwood Mac takeover on BBC2 right now, superb band and probably produced the greatest album of all time in Rumours.
