Rubbish, it’s the same healthy budget myth being perpetuated right now and you’re falling for it, again…..
-
It may seem a big salary to the average man/woman in the street, but in footballing terms it’s not and I know plenty of CEO’s outside football on that sort of cash and more.
-
Waggott tells everyone what they want to hear, you should know that by now. If I was in his shoes I'd resign to be honest Paul, what is the point of being in that position when you're got little or no influence over arguably the most important aspect of the job. Armatures the lot of them.

For some reason, that escapes me right now, I never made Everton game, big regret on my part, to have been part of that massive Rovers following at Goodison must have been superb. Just been reminded that a mate got hit with a bicycle chain after the match, plenty of trouble outside the ground, perhaps it wasn't a bad thing I missed it after all!

This football club, under these owners, is setup to fail at every turn. Producing players to play at a higher level is like winning promotion for Venkys, job done, they don’t care about return on investment, which is vital for this club to move forward. The fans are still being taken for ******* idiots, it’s as simple as that. Venkys out.

As its FA Cup day and the magic of the cup seems to have fallen away in recent years, here are a few for the older fans, ties that definitely got the juices flowing: Liverpool away 1978/79 - Lost 0-1 against probably the best side in Europe Coventry 79/80 - We beat the first division side 1-0 at Ewood to set the Villa tie up below. Villa 79/80 - Future European Cup winners came to Ewood and we managed a respectable draw in front of 30,000, but lost the replay 0-1 at Villa Park. Liverpool again at Ewood 82/83 - Lost 1-2 against a great side. Southampton live on BBC 83/84 - Lost 0-1 but I couldn't sleep for a week before this one. United 84/85 live on BBC - Lost 0-2, again the excitement was fever pitch in the lead up to the game. League Champions Everton 85/86 at Goodison - 7000 Rovers fans went that day, lost 1-3, Gary Lineker scored for Everton We had nothing, skint, but all those sides gave everything in those games and the support was superb as ever.

So did Mowbrays Rovers...

If posters think Gallagher is frustrating, Joao would cause a bigger meltdown than usual, then again he scores against us all the time, could be something in this madness Bigbar 😉

Not really Asia and normally I'd agree with you! I can't remember the name of journalist (Nick Harris maybe) but he was excellent on his reporting of those Venky rats and Anderson, Shaw, Agnew etc, so in this case I did give that rag of a paper a pass.

Cobblers, Sam Allardyce was a bent bastard Jimmy and no amount of rewriting history will ever change that. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1387883/FA-probe-50k-bung-Gael-Givets-Blackburn-move.html If you left your principles and brain at the turnstiles you could just about cope with the fact he was robbing every Rovers fan of seeing the better players come to Ewood, he was in the pocket of 1 agent, very Venkyesq actually, brown envelopes a plenty and don't get me started on him buy a round for all the Bolton fans in The Sportsmans (Bromley Cross) the night Jack Walker died. Not 1 Rovers fan played a part in his sacking, despite your hysterics on the subject, but every England fan in this country witnessed him disgracing himself on the national stage and he should have been banned from football for life. Have we signed anyone yet.....
-
Greedy bent bastard who got his comeuppance by being fired from England job, karma I’d say.

🤣🤣🤣 ‘Leave it alone Gav’ ……..

As I have to remind Jim on a regular basis, its not the 1970's any longer Mercer. The clubs pulling power which included a Cowies sponsored Ford Capri and free tickets to the Cavendish won't wash nowadays sadly. Its all about £££££ as the recent Cantwell deal proves nicely and we don't have any, or at least any to make a difference.
-
Yes. Please don’t think I’m criticising fans that don’t go, this is Mercer specific based on his quarterly criticism of new managers and staff after crying out for new managers and staff 😀
-
You don’t go to Ewood, so you’re one of those that has given up, that is your contribution until Venkys go by your own admission. I also have to take exception to your characterisation of our younger supports who do attend games, are all over social media and probably better placed than you or I to judge what’s going on at Ewood. To dismiss those supporters is unwise in my opinion. My original comment comes from your criticism every transfer window of anyone that works for the club, often without any foundation whatsoever. It’s all about opinions though Mercer and I’d rather be reading yours than some fabricated bullshit about insider information .
-
All this is very good and you're not wrong, but what do you expect with these owners? You pop up every now and then throwing out the same lines, the same sound bites about poor staff like you're expecting something to have changed. Nothing changes until the owners sod off.
-
Or £30k a week, European football, a medal or two and playing in front of 50,000 every other week Andy. I know which I’d choose.
-
Spot on John.
-
Then said no...... If we are skint, which we are, we are skint and teams will only allow deals at the back end of the window when those ducks are all in a row. Its the same every year for clubs with no money feeding off scraps.
-
Take it, snap the hands off, give it the manager like they should have done in the summer.
-
You’re correct on Raya’s distribution, Kaminski has definitely fallen fowl of JDT’s insistence of playing out from the back, but he’s an excellent keeper, the best we’ve had in years and the man himself puts some of that down to Benson personally, which is good enough for me.
-
Not aimed at you Mellor. One or two vocal posters criticised Benson just for the sake of it and that tag seems to have stuck on here, but if you look at the facts, Kaminski and Pears, they’re both better keepers than when they arrived, certainly in Kaminski’s case. ’Eureka moment anyone’?
-
He has no option, the squad is cut to the bone and many of those young players are not ready for Championship football.

Have you been on the Whisky with Fergie bazza? It’s all about opinions, but this side is lacking quality, strength in depth and is nowhere near good enough to be top 6 let’s alone top 2.
