  1. I have mentioned yesterday about having 2 players for each position but each players bringing different qualities to the team. It will be interesting if Al-Sahafi does sign cos he can play all 3 forward positions(both wide and up front) from what I check out online and watching his reels online. So I am interested where Ismael seems him fitting in if he does sign. I'm not doing another Hedges debate with you AGAIN, despite you goading me into another utter pointless debate discussing the same old points time after time. Nixon never said a warchest did he? more lies but we have always made cheap punts whether its was Hughes signing Samba, Nelsen and Rigters or Allardyce with Nzonzi or GB with Tronstad and Ennis or even last summer with Ohashi, Gueye and Toth. Most have worked out right for us. Nixon said they are willing to back Ismael with some more money cos they liked him. So again, you are misleading or deliberately posting comments never said by anyone to suit your own agenda/argument
  2. stuck in the past way Cricket was played. no one was to boring 5 day test matches anymore not acknowledging that Cricket has actually moved on from those era and England want to entertained the fans. Also no praised of Indian bowlers like Deep and Siraj for their efforts
  3. Ismael has said he wanted pace out wide and the club is trying to bring that in. Same people with the same comments about relegation just last season. Time to judge this squad is in the opening weeks of the seasons not right now. We proved all these pundits and many people on here with last season performances and results. Don't we have 1 ESC spot left open?
  4. I agree we need some experience in the squad but there is nothing wrong with some signings from league 1 or overseas. Balance approach At least 👏👏👏 Why would we be signing another winger if this guy is sign? Surely 4 is enough?
  5. I'm not doubting the player ability and quality but I would be preferred championship experience in a winger signing given we have De Neve who hasnt played this level and Kargbo who had barely played at this level. That's all I'm saying. Seem above. Nothing I said was negative but my preference given we have 2 championship inexperienced wide players already. I actually thought you would approve of my comment
  6. Well talking more general in life situations and circumstances not just about Rovers
  7. Ohashi isn't a target man but more of pressing forward like Paul Dickov type but with more ability to score the goals he did against Derby or Norwich. Big fan of Ohashi and his goal against Derby was pure class from him Don't agree at all. He scored 10 goals and I focus on the player he is not the player he isnt. I think he will score 15 goals plus this coming season Yes it is. I think we should go for someone with abit of English experience or championship experience instead of this player. Nothing against the player who looks quick with seems to be what we want in wide positions. Given we got Kargbo and De Neve already why I think Gassama or Musaba for example would be better in my opinion given they have experience at this level
  8. Some strange comments about Ohashi here. His finishes against Derby, his diving header at Norwich plus his 2 goals against Bristol City shown his class. He will get 15 goals this season for me and prove his doubters wrong
  9. Your posts as dreams says are negative/half glass empty. I can admitted myself that I am half glass full type of person who looks at situations in positive light or find a solution. I don't get angry or fumed at anything anymore. Gets you nowhere in life. Gassama can play either side aswell as a 9 like he did at Sheffield Wednesday. more cliches again. Take the link with Marwan Al-Sahafi who I know nothing about and never see play but I think it would be massive gamble if we are looking to sign as the rumours. I don't what strengths and weaknesses are. How that for balance RF99? I take reports of interest into players at face value and look into the players, what the strengths and weaknesses if that data is available plus look their stats etc. How can you have doubts on players you know very little about, you can only judge on what you see in Rovers shirt. You would have doubts in we sign Messi. No one has got giddy over Nixon's report today but simply mentioning on here cos people this morning didn't see it or comment about it. no one has said it 100% accurate but using the info out there and making points and comments of that report
  10. isn't that true of most batsmen these days. People are stuck in the past the way Test cricket was being played. Those boring days have gone. Crowds want to be entertained especially when paying the prices they are now for tickets. We seen some good batting from both sides and some good bowling from either side. interesting that England had added Gus Atkinson to the next test squad and I would be tempted to brig in Archer and Atkinson in for Carse and Tongue at Lords for the 3rd test
  11. great British Grand Prix. Full of action and incidents exactly what you want to see
  12. translation Tyrhys Dolan is open to joining Samsunspor. The player’s agent is also keen on Samsunspor. No issues here. Scout teams from Premier League’s Wolverhampton have contacted his agent with a verbal offer. Let’s see what the outcome will be of the transfer personally handled by Yüksel Yıldırım
  13. so just be 100% clear you have no inside info and everything is just personal opinion? Also why don't you assume that we have interest in each player given its been reported now? I would disagree cos I would say another centre back in cos we don't know about Wharton at this minute and don't want to be take any risk with him is just as much as priority as the right wing position for me. I would like those 2 positions sorting this week/before the Everton game.
  14. last season finish position was down to 2 head coaches, players and everyone stepping up. I don't get your opinion on Ohashi who scored double figures goals after playing 6 months in the J-league and then moving to new country and learning about the championship and English football plus factoring in the culture change aswell something you and others constantly overlook. Ohashi is a good championship striker and I am pleased we have him here. Toth didn't have much to do in those games? you mean his great save at Sheffield United. Why are so quick to dismiss his good spell in the team? Gueye showed his quality after a few months here but his red card against dingles massively affect himself and his confidence. The 2 goals at WBA show his quality
  15. If you actually look at what I said is that the most interesting thing about Nicko's stories was that fact he has reported that the owners are willing to back Ismael cos they like him. Of course we will see if that actually happens but I used that point cos very many members on here had completely missed that point he made. That is all I said. You can read his articles on Sunday in the Sun Newspaper aswell if you want as well as his own account cos times have moved on where very many people actually read newspaper and we have more digitalise world now with social media playing a massive part of people lives. We want a left footed centre back which is the starting point and you would a few targets on that list and if Kapuadi's bid isn't high enough for his club and depends what his club wants, I wouldn't be paying more than around £2m price for him. If Pye is next on the list and given he has potential and someone a few teams have look at then surely you moved for your next target, also if the owners are willing to back Ismael and Gestede with more money for this sort of target then why wouldn't you moved for him. Hull did it last season for Hughes from Wigan. Yes I know what footed Gassama is but I know he can play anywhere in the front 3 and he gives you options which is what you want. He has played right, centre and left for Sheffield Wednesday. So I don't see why you are so quick to point negatives all the time. As Dreams said it must be your mindset. The glass is never half full but always half empty. Like I said previously you enjoyed look for negatives/questions marks over everything. Rovers could sign Messi and you would always find a negative or question mark over it The squad would be alot strong and you are bringing in players which fits how Ismael wants to play, The championship season is a squad game where you need 22 players plus over a full season. You aren't going to have squad all of the same qualities but you have a strong squad with has experience but also pace and direct in it. We all know about the contracts situation. Do you need to remind the messageboard every day? of course not, cos we haven't forget about the contracts situation
  16. so we should ignore other positions we need signing? we need another 4/5 signings yet
  17. So why say and I will quote yourself " from the big question marks over the authenticity of the interest" then? Do you have any inside info we aren't interest in either player?
  18. Cos I thought the answer was obviously cos he was footballer who was international and PL player. I haven't said it should be different to other non footballers deaths but the EFL and Sky were right not to announced the TV fixtures. Any death by RTA/RTC is a tragic one for any person/family/friends.
  19. Can't wait for the British grand prix race at 3pm. 4 or 5 potential race winners. It been a very good grand prix overall so far
  20. why big questions? I take you have information that our authenticity of our interest is wrong, please share with us all your info RF99? But if he is such a problem why are you commenting in his stories? Its 2 pounds a month. You love commented on his stories so why don't sign up and tell him what you really think RF99.
  21. Gassama is having his wages price so the Sheffield Wednesday can get a transfer fee for him. He can play anywhere in the front 3 and he gives you exactly what we want in our team. He got 7 goals last season which is the same as Dolan. How does the centre back situation not make sense? Pye is highly rated and someone where you are buying potential and British so the fee will be higher as why so many clubs look overseas for players. 1000% correct, I would rather talk about transfers stories then read the same old posts from posters week after week repeating the same old points
  22. You are buying potential just like Hull did when they signed Hughes from Wigan when they paid around £4m for him last summer. Pye is highly rated from reports but you would pay a upfront fee and then rest in add ons and potential add ons. Something like £1.5m with £1m in addons and 10% sell on clause. true but Nixon has said that the owners are willing to back Ismael with more funds. Nixon has said they like him. Pickering isn't centre back firstly. What is spending big for the future? what is big? Pye is only 21 years old so would you expect to be better than proven championship centre backs in Carter and Hyam? he is left footed centre back which gives you more balance in your back 4.
  23. Looking forward to this friendly, I am attend and not far of the start of season now. Should be good weather with a good crowd in the Stadium
  24. glad you need accept the EFL and sky reason for postponed the announcement for 24 hours due to the tragic death of Jota. Glad you seen sense and understanding of the situation. different issue but one that has range of different factors which I will post in the correct thread cos this isn't it. But I think it would be inappropriate for EFL and Sky to announced the TV games just after the tragic death of Jota. The EFL clubs decided this as I posted a link from the Stoke Sentinel journalist Of course Newcastle owners should be judged on their ownership of running of Newcastle just like every owner of a football club? should it be different and what are terms of refence to that
