I'm as surprised (but pleased) as anyone that Wharton has become an integral part of our defence, given his seemingly endless loan status and last season's injury. The player I'm most worried about now is Carter, especially if Van Hecke continues to perform and is available on a perm. If Van Hecke is an upgrade, then that's how football should work, but barring injuries, Carter might become our new 'eternal loan'. I like Magloire, but don't think he has a future at Rovers, unfortunately.

It's an odd feeling, seeing as every match was good to great (main event MOTY candidate?), but the pacing was a little off, with every match apart from Punk/Kingston going over 20 minutes. This show was a good example of why you need concession break matches or in-ring loligags for intermission. But AEW doesn't really have that yet. I dare say that's a good problem to have, because it's not perceived as a complete clown show.
