My only issue with Sam was his approach to playing the big teams. A 4-0 loss to Liverpool with Samba up front, and that 7-0 to Man U with Venkys watching stick in the mind. At least under Hughes and even Souness we would have been competitive.

Add me to the 'cautiously optimistic' group. Has said all the right things in his (short) time with us, but the real proof comes with the signings, the lineups, the performances and the results.
