  1. The statement was meaningless. You're absolutely right, no statement should ever have the words such as should in them. Amateurs.
  2. Another statement that is full of words but says nothing at all. Hasn't the problem always been "technical and procedural issues" with this case so nothing has changed at all. In other words, the statement is saying they have the money and do want to fund the club but cannot due to technical and procedural issues. Nothing has changed at all.
  3. Venkys will never want to sell the club. They'll only sell if they are forced to. I despise them.
  4. Our fixture list may not be as bad as it looks. Bristol City and Sunderland have nothing to play for and are pretty average teams so they're the best type of teams to play at this stage of the season. Sheff W at home is very winnable if we have our full team out. Leicester will prob be up come the last day of the season so I could see them being on their holidays at that point. Cov will now have a fixture pile up with being in the semis of the FA Cup. They may even know their play off fate by the time we play them anyway with some tough games to come, so that could be a dead rubber for them. I don't see us taking any points from Ipswich, Leeds, or Saints though. They score too many goals for us to be able to grind out a result against those teams. We don't look like we have many goals in us right now.
  5. Another draw but this one is a good one. A very good one when you look at the results of our relegation rivals. Birmingham and Hudds fluffed their lines today. Both had very winnable fixtures. I thought they'd both be level with us come 5pm today.
  6. Our best half for a while but we haven't posed any real threat. Boro look a bit leggy with lots of loose passes. Could be a big day for us with other results going our way at the moment. We'll probably end up losing 1-0 though.
  7. That's the best starting 11 we've had for a long time.
  8. I think we actually may get a result tomorrow. Boro have not been great at home this year and we generally do OK at the Riverside. We had a rest in midweek whereas they had a game so I think we may nick a draw. Probably a drab 1-1.
  9. Oh that's incredibly optimistic. They will continue to own the club but say the club must become self sufficient. The challenge could potentially come in around 12 months time when we will have no assets to sell and venkys are not able to send cash over. We have big problems then.
  10. What a joke. Probably the best case scenario for Venkys. They can claim to still be committed and blame external circumstances for not being able to put money into the club. Meanwhile, we sell every and any player of any quality to cover "operational costs" whilst continuing to sign players from the fourth tier of German football and semi-pro footballers.
  11. I'd be surprised if it gets delayed again given the time already spent on this. Ultimately you cannot stop people from spending their money from how they want so I'm sure it will be resolved. But I could be wrong.
  12. I'm sure the court case will go in Venkys favour.
  13. Relegation won't be a factor, they couldnt care less about that. Fan protests are not something that they care about either nor would they probably be aware of them happening. The only way Venky's ever leave is if they are forced to for political or economic forces that are out of their control. The Indian government are probably our best hope.
  14. Sammie is going whatever decision we are in. He deserves much better than this shambles of a club. We won't get £10m for him though.
  15. I don't think it will be as catastrophic financially as last time we got relegated. We've banked £22m from Wharton and have around £4m coming from Raya. We had zero assets to sell last time we went down but we have Szmodics and Carter we can sell for decent money this time around too so we'll be OK financially. Plus there's a new TV deal which means lge 1 clubs will get 25% more than they do now and the players will have clauses to slash their wages. What is does mean is that player sales will cover any losses very easily, but how do we then replace the small amount of quality players we do have whilst also adding quality in other areas of the squad that desperately need replenishing. Looking at the clubs in league 1, it's a very poor league that we'd do well in. The likes of Garret, Leonard, Gilsenan would do very well in lge 1. But a club like ours should not be anywhere near that league. Thank you Venkys.
  16. No surprises at all. They will stay up easily. They have a lot of fight in them.
  17. Millwall are slightly different. They were underperforming before Harris came in. They have a good squad and invested a good amount of money in the summer. We were hoping for a similar bounce but it was certainly hope rather than expectation. Our squad is very poor and there has been a severe reduction in quality and experience in the squad every window.
  18. I do always admire your positivity but it's very hard to put a positive spin on the situation. I don't blame Eustace at all, I think he's a good manager but there's no doubt he's had very little impact on results so far. The squad of players he has to work with though is awful so I don't blame him. He's also not had a full week on the training ground yet so it's not his fault. JDT is a very good coach and he couldn't get anything out of this squad either once the games came thick and fast. I completely blame the owners for all of this.
  19. Hudds will beat West Browm and Brum will beat Boro. We can't blame anyone but ourselves though. Two wins in 19 deserves relegation.
  20. These two home games were billed as season defining games before they took place. And they will prove to be season defining. To very little surprise, we didn't win either of them and played poorly in both. We're the only team down there that cannot seem to win a game, aside from Rotherham who incidentally we couldn't beat this season; we've won twice in 19 games; we've had absolutely no new manager bounce; injuries to key players; and the toughest run of fixtures out of anyone down there. I genuinely don't see anyway out of this predicament. We're relying on other teams being worse than us which won't work as we're the second worse team in the league. My only hope is that the championship is a bonkers league and can throw up some crazy results.
  21. You go down to 10 men with over half an hour today gives you little chance of winning the game. If they'd have equalised then at least we'd have had a chance of pushing to try and get a winner with 11. With 10, there was no chance of that.
  22. Well done Kyle. Never want to see him play for the club again after that. Cost us the game. A point good in the circumstances. But 2 points from 3 relegation six pointers is terrible. Still no win for the manager. Shocking.
  23. Feel like a last minute, or last second, winner for Plymouth coming. That will sum up our season. How can you get sent off on a day like today. Shambolic.
  24. A draw would be a great result now given the red card but a terrible one overall. What a horrible situation.
