  1. Well one of those 2 is no loss at all but the other is a crucial loss. Any team needs heart not just ability. Travis has it.
  2. Incorrect--no club is like our's when it comes to signing players. We just "join the race" and nothing happens.
  3. That's the one! Will probably leave and we'll never have seen him! Will pay for the floodlights for a season or two I guess.
  4. When Premier League clubs are looking to nab one of our 13 year olds, what chance does this strategy have?
  5. Certainly well done to those who put in a great effort. Superb idea. But I'm not convinced they'll sack him, they are too stubborn and proud. Nor am I convinced that sacking him would mean the end of them---for the same reasons. But it would be some sort victory for us to celebrate if only short -term. I think it'll be the financial situation that will finally do for them and they'll clear off when we are in a lower division and crowds have dwindled further. More misery to come I believe.
  6. TBH there is also plenty to be bitter about. We've had 15 years of misery, we deserve a fresh start.
  7. Let's not be confused though---getting rid of Pasha would surely not mean Venkys would replace him with someone competent and worthy. Nothing would change. Ultimately we want a sale.
  8. Well Wrexham is prepared to offer more money than we will and certainly have more ambition but that's true of just about every team in the League.
  9. No they are declining in real terms.
  10. Chaddy still doesn't know what "in real terms" means. I've done my best!
  11. from our point of view---which doesn't count.
  12. Travis/Tronstadt----crucial if we are to do anything next season. Not possible we could replace them like for like. Unfortunately I think they're also crucial to Venkys funding plans ( such as they are).
  13. Let's celebrate 150 years with relegation!
  14. No---the Club has run his contract down like so many before him. Maybe if he'd been given a review instead of being kept on the same terms he signed when a teen-ager we wouldn't have this problem. But that's true of so many others before him who've left on a free isn't it? This isn't an example of inflated ego or greed by a single player its a continuing story of administrative neglect and stupidity.
  15. Good article on Rovers spending under Venkys. https://footballeconomyv2.blogspot.com/2025/06/just-what-do-venkys-get-out-of-owning.html
  16. Just waiting for the classic "give him a chance---- FFS"!
  17. But nobody dared to tell him!
  18. Not worth the football authorities having a look though! My favourite dream ends when they order Venkys to sell the Club. Then I wake up!
  19. Yep, Spurs had a disastrous season and it wasn't saved by a victory in a minor European tournament where their opponents were as bad as they are.
  20. Its humiliating and soul-destroying to know that, whatever the promises or the links, in the last hour and minutes of the Transfer Window we'll be scrambling around trying to sign someone, anyone to get the numbers up.
  21. Other factors---the stadiums and facilities for fans were terrible and hooliganism flourished. People expected better.
  22. Chris Sutton posting on X ( I think he means "soul"! @allrovers_ “It was a great club, it’s not the same anymore it was a club with a heart and sole, with a brilliant owner and board.” Chris Sutton speaking on BBC 5 Live. #rovers
