I have very happy memories of watching East Lancs in the fifties with my Dad. as you say, big crowds. First pro I remember was the Aussie leg-spinner Bruce Dooland. he was a class act and only available because he couldn't get in the Australian team with Ritchie Benaud around. Re the collection, for some spectators it was against their principles to chuck in for the pro on the basis that he was paid to play! Must have seen the entire 1960's West Indies team in the Lancs League. Great days, all gone now of course.

You're talking numbers there--I'm worried about quality. Doesn't matter how any players we sign if they aren't as good as the ones we are selling/giving away.

We will be continually linked with players we have no intention of signing throughout the entire Transfer Window. This is a distraction tactic they have been using for years now. Not worth discussing 95% of them.

Well one of those 2 is no loss at all but the other is a crucial loss. Any team needs heart not just ability. Travis has it.

Incorrect--no club is like our's when it comes to signing players. We just "join the race" and nothing happens.
