  1. Pears!!!! Sad innit? Knew flogging off Kaminski would come back to haunt us.
  2. I don't think they are good enough.
  3. Hypothetical till we have 2 fit strikers available. We have 3, none of whom are outstanding goal-scorers, 2 of the 3 have hardly been available and Leonard has missed a few too. Bloody nightmare.
  4. But only played half the season in terms of minutes. Ennis was clearly a desperation signing. We just hoped we could get him fit and keep him fit. Hasn't worked out so far and we haven't sufficient alternatives to turn to.
  5. Its quite clear that Venkys stuffed up big-time over that house yet the Club was made to pay for it! We have played great approach football, created chance after chance and seen them mostly wasted because we have no recognised, experienced and competent striker. Add "fit" in there as well. Its absolutely scandalous that no-one was lined up to replace Brereton since we've known he was leaving for nothing for yonks. We just have to make do and manage every year. Not much chance of promotion on that basis is there? The worst thing that ever happened to our club in my life-time----some Indian millionaire decides he wants to dabble in Premier League football for a hobby, then gets bored. Why didn't he build the world's biggest train set or a replica of the Taj Mahal, anything but ruin our club? Sick to the core of them. And helpless to do anything about it of course.
  6. Yeah, not a good time to play them.
  7. Yep! Typical Rovers to lose this one.
  8. I wonder if its a 3/4 loss run followed by a 3/4 win sort of season?
  9. Ray's always had an error in him but it didn't stop him playing for a top Premier League club. You have to judge every player overall.
  10. I think it happened because the striker had a free header and was so close to the goal-line. He also headed it vertically down. Our keeper had a fraction of a second to react, would have done 9 times out of ten. Just one of those things. Anyway we won! My opinion is we should have kept Kaminski. Its disgusting that we had to sell him for peanuts to try and get someone/anyone up front.
  11. Venus aren't decent people and they will destroy us at some point. Maybe not far away. I can't see we have much to lose.
  12. 3 more in there today in the only article I read!" win" instead of" wind" and apparently we went home elated by our victory "heading back down" the M1! And one incident is described as "like Deja Vu"! Embarrassing.
  13. Its the same as went on when we were discussing Mowbray on here a couple of years ago. Might as well keep him as "we won't find anyone better". Well we did.
  14. No it will just be another one.
  15. Does anyone proof read at the LT anymore?
  16. Please not this again. There's always someone. Look around at other clubs.
  17. Yep. Looking like the beginning of the end to me. At some point someone demands their money back. Then its players and staff not paid on time, players sold, points deducted, relegation etc. We 've seen it all before. Its taken Venkys years but we are well on the way to become another Bolton. However, Bolton have recovered and so will we.
  18. No that's not what I meant, they will receive them when they go down again, assisting them to come back up again. Yes?
  19. Their defending is utterly shambolic. Their keeper doesn't seem the best but accept he's probably a bit nervous watching the antics unfold in front of him.
  20. Speaking of luton, great goal-line reflex save from Kaminski in the final minutes!
  21. If he'd been adequately supported in the transfer market this summer I think he would probably have taken us up. Certainly top 6. We will really struggle to replace him. Best appointment under Venkys--low bar I know! 😭
  22. Not like you to be so curmudgeonly Jim! 😁
  23. That assist from Dolan for the goal was an absolute peach and the complete answer to those who argue there is no end product with Dolan. It took me back 60 years--it was a Duggie/McEvoy moment! There is no higher praise! If Wharton had made that pass we would be purring over it and sticking another £10M on his potential transfer fee. I accept Dolan's consistency has to improve but I am certain the talent is there. Management and coaching need to bring the best out in him.
