  1. A slight change in system, difference in mentality by the coaching staff and players another year older and more experienced should all help. Any expectation of a repeat of the few crazy months of winning form being extended is way off the mark though. As long as we try and win every game that's all that matters.
  2. It will be if Vs don't want to do it they won't allow it regardless.
  3. So Mowbray warns we'd get nothing to spend from the Armstrong deal and there'll be nothing from the BBD sale. Yet suddenly there'd be money to bring in players he'd allegedly lined up if we'd sold Rothwell mid season ? Pull the other one, he's gone but he's still changing his narrative to suit from afar.
  4. Currently roaming the lands of twitter and facebook and adding a bit of spice to those swamps.
  5. The rumour that we were serious about Davies is encouraging as it shows we are after a decent centre half. Not keen on pouring that much money away just on a loan though so they should get their act together and pay good money for JPvH. That's proper investment that will produce a return and get some good years out of the player as well. They should look at it as a Brereton style move just in a different position. Push the fecking boat out and stop messing about, lets hope it doesn't take this regime several seasons to get players in this position.
  6. He really couldn't be arsed going for it he'd rather keep selling the owners the journey, give us all another contract and i'll develop a few more etc
  7. Tricky opener they are in the same 'bounce' as us. Rovers 1 QPR 1 11,335
  8. Is it worth bothering considering an official number has been put out ? It isn't going to change much now sadly.
  9. Hull City sold over 14k now, probably similar gates to us last season. Is there a board of directors anywhere in this league that are as behind the curve as ours ?
  10. The only sense i can make of it is they were setting up a loan with a view to buy deal and maybe that would be knocked off the fee if it went through.
  11. It's the alleged offer of 26k wage contribution to Liverpool for Davies when we can't seem to find enough for others i can't get my head around.
  12. Would Waggot even genuinely know who Rovers are in for beyond just hearing possible names ? Broughton, the recruitment team will be dealing with all that then probably going direct to Suhail and the finance men to get them signed off.
  13. Pears costs what 4 or 5k pwk to sit on the bench yet we seem to baulk at shelling out for some pay rises or signings. Now we are being told by NIxon Rovers were willing to shell out 26 grand a week on a loan signing for Davies. Surely that brass would be better spent on securing Brereton so he's worth something in years to come. And bringing in another good player of our own ? Nothing ever makes sense here.
  14. Zero or next to zero chance of that re-investment happening though and even if some did it would be next summer. So as fans and team are we better just getting what we can out of him for another season ? Surely he'd be out to impress potential suitors so should have a good season. It's yet another monumental balls up letting it get to this stage but the ownership just isn't bothered. They don't need the money back they seem to have a certain amount per year they need to 'lose' in Rovers books so desperately getting money back on players isn't their aim. Sadly it's the club that suffers because we can't put it towards FFP but like i said it doesn't affect their pockets. It all seems to be about being comfortable losing a certain amount of spare money whilst playing with the club.
  15. Yeah Boris type character is a good point in how he comes across and like him he isn't really a leader just a middleman.
  16. He's a failure but still manages to raise the prices enough to cover his wages despite the declining crowds. Still, as long as he does his snake oil job on those who look into his eyes all is well, it really isn't.
  17. I'd rather not know, as frustrating as it is and be pleasantly surprised than hear it early from that spin doctor and it fall through. The guy has done as much harm as good with Rovers.
  18. I might be in a minority here but i'd rather keep big Sam unless someone is offering sully money. By that i mean a lot more than we paid, iv'e a sneaky feeling he'll bag a few this season.
  19. Terrible, if Waggot is pleased with that his delusion knows no bounds we are in for some rotten gates next season. Bravo
  20. Main thing is imo somebody at the top pulling it all together, directing it in the right direction for the good of the club and fans before all else. That's what we've had in the past when we've been punching our weight or above it so do we have that now ? Not so sure myself but we are about to find out.
  21. Nice to see the move away from an old boys club though to a set of people hopefully with something to prove.
