Take nothing away from their free kick though. Great strike. We don't have a player in our squad who could hit a free kick like that. We looked all over the shop, some serious issues within that set up. The Ash Phillips block on the line was a result of some seriously awful organisation. Half of the players stepped out, a few stayed back leaving a giant hole in between, which a Sheff Utd player ran straight into, Szmodics just pointing at him and no one picking up the runner. Yes we need players but jury is well and truly out on JDT.

Worrying times. Yes we need players but it seems like we aren't even laying a glove on these teams. Tubbed by Paul Ince and Heckingbottom, one shocking manager and one bang average one.

I can see why you've posted this but tbh, seeing another team show some grit and determination to get back into a game currently doesn't do much for me (even if it is against the Dingles) when our lot just throw in the towel.

Unsure about Pickering in a back 3 and Edun has never really convinced at full/wing back. Hoping it works out but we'll see.

I know it's supposed to be a "fluid front 3" but I was really hoping that the days of Gallagher coming off the right would be over once Mowbray was gone.

Be absolutely gutting to see JPVH go to another championship club. Only 1 year left on his deal, even if they inflate the fee a little, I can't see them asking for more than £4m - £5m. It's a no brainer, fits the type of signing we are supposed to be looking for, young, decent, loads of scope to improve, high chance of selling him for a good fee down the line. Absolutely should be pushing the boat out for him.

Bring Morton into the starting 11 to help out the midfield. I didn't see the Reading game but sounds like they struggled badly (as did everyone!) If we had enough CB's we could have gone for a back 3.

Absolutely guaranteed. Genuinely have no idea how this one will go. Biggest test for JDT was half time against Reading. He changed it up but it didn't have the desired effect. He knows it. Biggest test now is how we respond in the next game, against a decent side as well. Let's hope he's got a decent game plan up his sleeve.

It seems like we are back to signing nobody again. I find it hard to believe we'll get a left back in. A CB (or 2) and a striker has probably just moved up the priority list after tonight. As it takes us an ice age to sign any players, I doubt we'll get more than 2 in before the window shuts.
