How does a club with only 7 first team players have the balls to tell someone to come in for a trial? I know he wants a club but Bolton, Jesus H Corbett, he could surely do better?

The financial outlay is concern, especially if Mowbray plays him out of position or leaves him mainly on the bench. If we are paying alot in both transfer fee and wages, he needs to be starting.

He's mentioned a change in formation and hes also mentioned Liverpool's set up in the past as well? 4-3-3 would make more sense than switching to a back 3, a formation we've struggled with at times when he's tried before.

I'm not adverse to signing Gallagher. We need to shift someone out if he did come in though. The problem is that if we sign him for £5m and then we don't sign a centre back, it's a total waste. I fear Mowbray is going to loan a defender and then basically sit them on the bench for the most part.

Sounds like they are selling a defender to Villa for £12m as well, just to add to the net profit.
