  1. The X admin puts the team in formation order. So yep, back 3 with Brittain and Hedges as wing backs.
  2. They aren't run by utter buffoons though, are they?
  3. Shame that Beck hasn't made it, the lad is just an excellent full back, who'd be just as good as a wing back. Hedges should do ok as a wing back i think though. Big surprise there is no Cantwell and him starting Weimann was always going to happen as we hope for the "law of the ex", and hope he bags against his former employers.
  4. Seems very unlike JE to call out a player in public, where did he do this?
  5. Overall it will do. They'll prove their worth over the remainder of the season. Tonight wasn't a good result for them but it happens in the championship. I'll be surprised if they don't go up automatically.
  6. I dare say that we are the only ones interested in some obscure, non-scoring striker from the bottom team in the SPL. We'll be ok.
  7. Who's fault is it then? (According to Jackson)
  8. Straight outta left field that one!
  9. Tbf we've had their pants down twice now with Ennis and Gallagher. They've done well to shift him on.
  10. Shea Charles is now staying at Sheff Wed for the rest of the season. So we can forget that one.
  11. I can't believe for the life of me that someone can be so naive on this subject.
  12. If just about purged this cretin from my mind. Back to the nightmares again, it seems.
  13. Yup. Boro: Sell a player for £18m, reinvest £6m. Rovers: Sell £40m worth of players, reinvest £2.5m
  14. Venkys have reduced us to the point where we are going to be outspent by Plymouth. Ridiculous.
  15. Our playoff "rival", Middlesbrough, are splashing £6m on Whittaker. A bid has been accepted, according to our favourite resident Journo. Some difference, we'll be lucky to spend £6m over the next 4 windows let alone on just 1 player.
  16. I always thought Suhail worked for Venkys, not the other way around? 🤷‍♂️ If Venkys wanted to invest into the squad, they get on the blower and tell Suhail he's getting the ol'warchest and to work with the recruitment team to get some players in, surely? Makes no sense why Suhail is the blocker, if Venkys want to invest, nothing is stopping them, it's their name above the door.
  17. JE has a real conundrum on his hands for this one. Trav probably shouldn't start, so he'll have to go with Forshaw and Buckley in midfield. He could switch to a back 3 of Sanderson-Hyam-Beck but then he's screwed for a winger back, probably Hedges on the left but no one really for the right. Might have to give one of the younger lads a go at CB and move Sanderson to RB. No matter what he goes with, I think we're in big trouble for this one. 3 - 0 (but could easily be 4-0)
  18. I agree with you here, but what an absolute tragedy that this is where we are at as a football club. It's all just lies and smokescreen to try calm the fans, so they can ride out the storm of no investment until the window closes. It's fucking bullshit, I hate this regime.
  19. I'm sure I read somewhere (likely on here) that someone posted that Venkys will now only be looking at sanctioning low fee signings, max £1m. The days of spending £6m on a Gallagher/BBD are long gone. As the whole 25man squad has been assembled for circa £6.5m, it seems that's very much the case. It's not sustainable and is a sure fire way to League 1.
  20. Was just about to ask what we reckon the fee will be. Wasn't expecting it to be a lot tbf.
  21. Looks like he's trying to force a move
  22. I'm sure the rumour (on here i think 🤔) was that Gestede was brought in to "learn the ropes" and eventually take over Waggotts role.
  23. He doesn't seem to sign off an awful lot tbf 🤷‍♂️
  24. Dire is an understatement Jim, I'm afraid. Disinterested and now seemingly completely disengaged owners, who have absolutely no desire to invest any money into the squad. The clubs hierarchy are constantly lying to the fan base in order to protect the owners, with a "no impact" court case, clearly having a severe impact. An unprecedented injury crisis completely destroying any hopes of a sustained play off push and not even a rumour of any reinforcements surfacing on social media which is usually full of bullshitting attention seekers. The club has been in receipt of its biggest transfer influx in its history and it's been used to cover the costs that the owners either can't or won't cover, rather than being reinvested into the squad. We're now set to put out a starting 11 that wouldn't win league 1, in a game we're likely to get annihilated in. It's a bit worse than dire.
