  1. I suspect we are going to have quite a few games like today where we cry the "unlucky" card but its a game we have thrown away. Dont agree that we "deserved" the win in the first place. Tavares was being hailed as a replacement and potential improvement on Travis. Showed clear immaturity, I dont think we do lose with Travis playing instead. We thought that discussion about Travis and contracts were allowed post match. Clearly not. At least they got club mole privy to say he refused to play to try and get fans to turn on him. Probably will work. Its going to be a long season
  2. I couldnt say the exact amount that we would need to pay. I just know that our inability to offer competitive contracts is decimating our squad of quality and sooner or later that leads to one thing and it isnt good.
  3. I think rock bottom will be Sheffield Wednesday, especially with an inevitable points deduction. I certainly dont see an obvious 8 worse squad and manager combinations though especially once Travis and maybe even Tronstad and Hyam leave.
  4. The only alternative to what we are doing isnt to be "wreckless." There is a middle ground. Similar to Suhail trying to defend our unwillingness to reinvest by saying that spending loads doesnt guarantee you anything. Its not a defence to give an extreme opposite scenario to justify quite how unwilling we are to offer competitive wages and/or justify quite how little we reinvest.
  5. Above what we are offering hence why our players are happy to move to clubs who finished below us in the table.
  6. I must have missed a CEO being appointed. Wouldn't be a surprise to be fair if we ever do appoint one for him to take the flak at these meetings whilst snaky Suhail avoids any fan interaction and just silently continues to do Venkys work and destroy the club. You seem quite invested so presumably you have read the previous minutes.
  7. Is it the right approach to shut down certain questions by the club? Not good "stakeholder communication." Ismael said today we are no closer. Unless hes...lying?
  8. We dont pay average wages, never mind big wages. My point was that I would rather be worrying that the quality Championship attacker we just signed on top of a series of other proven Championship players was perhaps overpriced a tad, rather than whether a rag tag of random players from lesser leagues can capably replace the proven Championship players we are culling.
  9. These examples are totally missing the point. There are plenty of isolated examples of players running down their contracts. We cant get ANY of our better players to sign new deals. Some arent even being actively courter by other teams. Also, selling players again is natural to clubs higher in the food chain. All the clubs you mention reinvested decent chunks on replacements.
  10. If we do sign a player who will potentially be out for months injured to replace our captain then even for us that would be ridiculous.
  11. What happened to good communication with key stakeholders?
  12. No wonder its taking them so long to find someone worse!
  13. No closer to signing that one solitary addition either. Hedges for the forseeable (and beyond).
  14. Suhail is a cretin. A worthless control freak who clearly must now realise that you cant spin this level of neglect.
  15. Sometimes it does happen and it is unavoidable. Take Armstrong, a youngish attacking player, had outgrown the club, understandable that we couldnt keep him. (Shame we didnt reinvest ANY of that money) The problem here is that we cant agree deals at all. Its certainly not isolated examples. There is a clear desire to get rid of these players. They arent offered deals proactively, and we will not offer them reasonable Championship wages. 1 deal in nearly 2 years.
  16. You seem (not from this post, in general) very pro Gestede, pro signing these randomers from here there and everywhere on the cheap from abroad, and have regularly gone out of your way to criticise Eustace both as a person and his approach, as well as any players leaving. Do you not have any concerns about the fact we cant agree any deals for seasoned and proven quality Championship players, and at where the club is heading? If what you have said is true, why are we still identifying and scouting players when we should already have sorted this key signing.
  17. Maybe they will change formation. I dont know. Either way, he is a very good player at this level. You say they could sign 3 Championship players. They have already signed Lewis O'Brien, Ryan Hardie, Keiffer Moore, Conor Coady, Josh Windass etc. My point was merely that I wish our worry was whether in signing a proven Championship quality player, on top of loads more. That we may have overpaid. As opposed to seeing us get rid of most of our players and replace with cheap randomers on small wages.
  18. You are just parroting whatever the club says. We only need a right winger and replacements. The issues have all come pre Ismael. Season of transition. The issues are not just historical. Yes, contracts should have been offered before and I was certainly stronger on that than you who told me to stop going on about it. But if those problems had been resolved, those deals could still be done in some cases. Take Hyam, even with a willingness to sign, we still are incapable of putting an improved deal in front of him. And you believe that its just all problems in the past? And things are different? Montgomery was playing in the 9th tier last season. Because of cut backs, hes just assumed as a ready made first teamer. Its not healthy. Theres a difference between bringing in players that are ready and just shoving loads within the first team squad at once regardless of readiness to hit arbitary targets and cut costs.
  19. Why are you swallowing this "before he joined the club" shite? The problems are just as bad as ever. See Dom Hyam. He seemingly would sign now but we wont offer a reasonable wage. So what has changed? If he had come out post match on Tuesday and said, Montgomery was shit and Michalski was shit and they both really cost us. Would you have been happy with that? He would have been being honest. Its not just as simple as truth and lieing.
  20. No one said to break it for one player. The issue is clearly how low that ceiling is in the first place. At least you are acknowledging the pattern. Couple of questions: - Do events of recent days and the potential to lose more key players in any way change your prediction of 6th? - you have been strong on certain opinions, justifying the clubs unwillingness to sign more than 1 more player, net of sales. You said I was wrong in suggesting that we cant just assume that say Montgomery/Michalski/Tyjon are all ready. And you previously have highlighted Kargbo as evidence of good recruitment. Have any of those opinions waivered?
  21. You clearly didnt read the message you quoted properly.
  22. Perhaps, but whoever had been in charge. Promotion would have been a long shot. The issue is that you perpetuate a myth that Venkys were ploughing £20m in as if it went on the team. Rather than just being a standard Championship situation whereby expenses are higher than the income clubs receive, so just raising funds to offset that to pay liabilities. Now you are saying that they only lost interest recently coinciding with the court case. They lost any flicker of initial interest very quickly after purchasing the club.
  23. Also, did it take only until recently for Venkys to lose interest? They havent attended a game in about 10 years. Most summers saw minimal spending even before the court case.
  24. He isnt why we are in the mess we are in now, at all. Seemingly, when you get a dislike of someone, it really sticks in your head permanently even if their spell here becomes an irrelevance. He hasnt been here for 3 or 4 years. This idea that he was purposely avoiding the massive pay rise that a promotion would bring just shows that hatred is coming in over any semblance of logic. But either way, hes been gone for long enough whereby any damage he personally did (which I cant see, youll have to be specific) would have worn off.
