  2. aaron paul, obese roving reporter on the efl highlights on saturday night jobi mcanuff, crap footballer who`s jumped on the pundit wagon
  3. This all seems very tedious. We’ve heard before that the club have generally been open with conversations during the FF and minutes were rarely disputed. Issuing public statements and alleging conspiracies over a set of minutes seems disproportionate and counter productive. We want to have more communication from the club but this will hardly help.
  4. Bet he isn't one to duck out of a challenge
  5. There is such a lack of goals in our likely attack. Hedges scored 1 last season, Cantwell 1 from open play and De Neve has never scored more than 2 in a season. And neither of our central midfielders score anything other than occasionally. Even Ohashi isnt prolific.
  6. So despite a two week old link to Myoshi, looks like we'll be starting with De Neve and Hedges on the flanks. Grim stuff.
  7. Already said this midd off season. Kargbo will set the pitch ablaze this season
  8. I bet he forgets about that and gets carried away in his excitement as the season goes on though. Would be the first time a team with 43 wins and 3 draws finished sixth!
  9. No offence as to your prediction of what the starting line up will be (you're probably right) but there's no attacking impetus there whatsoever. I think that line up gets absolutely battered. I'll be gentle and go 2-0 West Brom.
  10. It's absolutely bonkers that after 15 years of the VENKY CUNTS downgrading every single facet of our glorious club that I still get offended by the types of predictions
  11. I actually have relatively high expectations for the season. Perhaps due to the last 5 or so games under VI where we seemed to get our act together a bit (we always do when the pressure is off!) The signings are very much unknown, but if you throw enough shit then some will stick I guess. Have we adequately replaced Batth, Brittain, Dolan, Beck and to some extent Weimann? Time will tell. But we do appear to be targeting tall, athletic types, which we've sorely missed for years, hopefully an end to the rubber dinghy boys. We appear strong in CM, but I expect Travis or Tronstad to leave still. If (and it's a big if), we can get Carter and Wharton up to speed then at CB we have 4 capable Championship players, more than enough for this division. Where I'm 50/50 is Full Back. Will Miller slot in as good as Brittain, will we miss Beck on the left - Nobody can really answer this until we see a few games, but in reality I'd be happy enough if we were a club who reinvested funds (we don't). So the Β£3.5m for Brittain goes into the hole and we ask what the point of it all is. Where I'm worried now is sticking the ball in the back of the net. Kargbo, DeNeve, Cantwell, Hedges, Gueye, Ohashi and maybe Henriksson look to be our attacking threats - have we enough goals in this team? Anyway, I can't believe the season has rolled around already. I might be bucking the trend, but I'm hopefully for another play-off push, and I'd be disappointed with a bottom half finish in all honesty. No reason at all we shouldn't be competing/surpassing the likes of Boro, Charlton, Derby, Hull, Millwall, Norwich, Oxford, Pompey, PNE, QPR, Wednesday, Stoke, Swansea, Watford, West Brom, Wrexham. Ipswich, Saints, Leicester, Sheff Utd, Coventry look to be the teams to beat, and maybe Birmingham.
  12. He’s got us finishing sixth in the other thread so presumably some draws (maybe even a defeat or two) will be foreseen along the way.
  13. Sorted now via phone. Paid a while ago and old card has been loaded (they say). Forced to use a phone next year? Signal always works of course... πŸ˜‰ Forced to use 1 of 2 oligopolies... Just love standing in a queue behind people who can't get a signal, lost the right page, won't scan....network down ....
  14. 23rd? Championship 2025-26 season preview: Club-by-club guide to the new campaign - BBC Sport
  15. Predicted XI: Toth Alebiosu Hyam McLoughlin Ribeiro Travis Tronstad Hedges Cantwell De Neve Ohashi Pros: we have some impact players on the bench who can have an influence on the game (Kargbo, Gueye). Wingers have relatively high work rate and will track back most of the time to help the fullbacks. Cons: Right hand side looks depressing. Doubt Alebiosu is capable of beating his man (other than using raw pace) and putting in quality crosses into the box. Hedges lacks both pace and technique to provide any end product. Our attacking threat looks bleak overall, offering no bursting pace or technique among the wingers to beat their man in 1 v 1 situations or having any aerial threat inside the box and thus will struggle to break down teams who choose to sit and defend in a low-block. Preferred XI: Toth Alebiosu Hyam McLoughlin De Neve Travis Tronstad Kargbo Ohashi Cantwell Gueye Pros: Attacking threat increases having a variety of qualities among front four: Ohashi (poacher), Gueye (target man), Cantwell (playmaker), Kargbo (fast-paced winger). Kargbo will be able to cross from the byline on the right hand side using his preferred foot. Gueye can offer link-up play with Ohashi and Cantwell by winning aerial duels. Cantwell can attack the center by carrying the ball from out wide as opposed to trying to find pockets of space centrally and between the lines. Gueye will offer an aerial threat inside the box. De Neve can attack the left hand side from a deeper position while Alebiosu stays behind to form a back three when in possession. Cons: not as many impact players on the bench other than perhaps Henriksson. Striker (Gueye) will probably have to play 90 minutes as options will be lacking. Wingers (Cantwell / Kargbo) will probably struggle tracking back at times. I'm making the assumption that neither Miller nor Tavares are ready to start having just recovered from injuries. Also, neither any of Montgomery or Tyjon are ready to start in a Championship match from what I've seen. I would rather go for it and try to score the first goal as opposed to throwing in impact subs in the second half when we potentially have to chase the game.

  17. It's long been a bone of contention of mine that the Forum minutes don't appear to show any kick back against the crap the Club are coming out with. If the minutes are to be believed the meetings come across as a tea and biscuits club with everyone nodding along in agreement to what the Club say. We keep getting assured by the likes of K Hod that that wasn't actually the case and that there was actually a fair amount of dissension. Prior to this meeting the defence to that has been that it isn't possible to record in the minutes everything that was said in the meeting. I'm actually glad to see that it appears that with the introduction of Glen and one or two others onto the Forum this issue is now starting to be rectified. I actually welcome the disagreement, make them sweat, stick to your guns and dont let them continue to get away with putting out heavily edited or sanitised minutes. If the meetings are allowed to continue and no punches are pulled and the minutes accurately record which punches were and weren't pulled, then they might finally start to have some value instead of being a mere box ticking exercise for the Club. Who agreed the original inaccurate minutes with the Club? Surely whoever did that is the one at fault. Stick to your guns and if the Club want to take their bat and ball home because they haven't been able to provide a sanitised version of events as has seemingly happened previously then let them. It just makes them look worse and worse.

  19. If there’s no agreement over the minutes with the club, make your case to the LT?
  20. Now,..........this subject is a sign that some of you have way too much spare time on your hands.
  21. What problems would it cause Glen if the full minutes were to be published
  22. Didn’t take Eggatha Christie to work out he’d be going to Brum
  23. Should we keep a track of the chaddy predictions and compare them against reality? Looks like we're on for another 138 point season. It's great this, I don't know why the opposition keep bothering turning up! πŸ™‚
  24. "Expectations? An easier one to answer when the transfer window has closed. Rovers have lost more than 1,200 Championship appearances, combined with the summer departures, with arrivals totalling so far well under 150 appearances combined." Worrying stat IMO "Expectation is probably higher than this time last year when many feared relegation." They might want to ask a Rovers fan about that
