  1. Past hour
  2. Definitely a Rangers fan on his stag do I would say
  3. Cue the wails of '...but that's the modern game...' from those amongst us who also see no issue with all manner of random kick off times, because they can get to every home game no matter what.
  4. I wouldn't mind Crewe away, as I have never been to their ground.
  5. A resounding success means he would have won something?
  6. butcher was always prone to a flap or two,not the best shot stopper either,he used to get my dad shouting when he looked to be in one of his nervous modes, when rovers signed terry gennoe,he was never going to get the no1 shirt back ,gennoe was a top keeper,2nd only to friedel as rovers best keeper
  7. Whilst Wrexham's commercial income is likely far better than ours (due to better management, no 'small town small club, We've done all we can' claptrap there) What they haven't done is brought in £40 million through player sales in the last few years, which we have. So that rather significant windfall I'd suggest matches or outstrips whatever advantage they might have had there.
  8. Rudys idols, Crewe away.
  9. ‘Rovers’ Head of Women’s Football, Nick Birchall, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce a new ground share agreement with Clitheroe FC for the 25/26 season. As we embark on a new chapter for the Blackburn Rovers Women’s Club, the club were keen to ensure that we continue to play as close as possible to the Blackburn area, whilst ensuring we meet the ground criteria for the Women’s National League. The location and facilities at Clitheroe FC will provide a fantastic experience for fans of Women’s football and the capacity of the ground allows for continued growth of the game in the coming years’ Well, that’s one way of putting it.
  10. Usually first game away-days are great.
  11. Today
  12. If you look back before the contract announcements happened that Markanday should be released, not good and shouldn't get a new contract. What money are we going to get? and and what point offering a contract to him when he has been a regular here?
  13. Like Rashford at Utd sometimes players are on easy street when they sign long term contracts. They know they can be injured or drift out of form so they dont have to play. Then out of nowhere come the last year of their contract they rediscover their form and fitness to earn their mega buck new deal or move....any thoughts about Dolan playing well at the end of last year purely coincidental. The only players who differ are those who have already got their new deals sorted such as Brereton or Rothwell as they dont need to. Mowbray just kept his favourites sweet
  14. I said when Toth stayed as the starting keeper when Pears was fit and on the bench I expected him to move on this summer. I stand by that.
  15. or alternatively we look to bring in an experience keeper to be back up to Toth, and Michalski as third choice, with Barratt and Goddard sharing the under 21's duties
  16. Based on my eyes. I dont think he is a more than decent keeper for a mid table club bringing in above £1m personally. Although theres been a massive overreaction to a kit launch (1 of 3) that had was it 5 or 6 of the squad in it. Means nothing.
  17. We still havent offered him a contract? Wow.
  18. Not really going to hamper. Isn't the same as Kaminski being shifted out by JDT?
  19. So fans can't have their traditional boxing day fixtures because the big clubs have cried to the EPL bosses about over working their bloated over paid squads. Unless of course the TV selects a few tasty fixture to be played on that day, no questions asked. The Prem is the land of milk and honey and you have to have something to play for but inn reality it stinks.
  20. The Police - The Bed’s Too Big Without You
  21. Yep, defo need to rest on an age old football day like Boxing Day considering all the commitments players have like playing in empty grounds in the US in June and post season tours to Hong Kong…
  22. Replacement is already here I imagine, with Barrett and Goddard signing new deals. Both would need registering this season as over 21, so that would be our 3 keepers I think. Michelski as Under 21's first choice.
  23. I said ages ago Pears would be flogged for 1 or 2 million total deal and that's why they persisted with him to get development and value as high as possible as quick as possible. It nearly led to a scrap with a couple on here such is the negative hysteria at times that clouds the reality of stuff. I stand by it in fact i pray for it although big Val keeping Toth in might have hampered it a bit but we live in hope he's proven himself an average now quite experienced English Championship keeper. I'm less confident about what will replace him.
