  1. Past hour
  2. Aware we are missing a few players, but that still doesn't excuse some of the selections or the start we've made. It's very concerning and it looks like we've gone backwards, tbh. I'll only start really worrying if the September matches are as poor as the ones over the last few days.
  3. He has a documentary coming out about his early career - but no news as to where he goes next
  4. Today
  5. Very strange signing indeed I watch the odd bits of Belgian football purely for betting purposes and the standard even in the top flight is dreadful it really is, most teams way below championship standard - Kortrijk included. Hence the vast majority of the national team play abroad apart from the odd player from the bigger clubs like Brugges. I can only assume our scouting network (I use the term loosely) were tasked with finding someone with a bit of pace, with a valuation of < 1M. Basically like when you set the filters on champ manager as such. I find it hard to believe we've been tracking him for a while or even seen him play much. Despite the above I will give the guy a chance like with any new signing, we may be pleasantly surprised.
  6. The game was meaningless as far as qualification goes but I hope that Tuchel learned from it. The crowd certainly let him know that it was unacceptable. He must know too. It's time for him to ditch his experimentation phase and start planning for WC 2026. Get rid of Walker, Henderson (J), Burn, Chalobah. I'd probably ditch Gallagher too. Play a left footer ant left back, a right footer at right back, and start thinking about a central partnership, All of us on here want Wharton to play. Kane was goosed at last year's Euro's but still has it. He'll score another hatful for Bayern next season. If he stays fit he'll be as effective as ever. It's what Tuchel does with Bellingham that will matter. He can be England's talisman but Tuchel needs to play him where he will be most effective and avoid a Gerrard-Lampard situation. If that means not playing a talented player (Palmer for example) who could get in his way, then so be it. There is summer, more qualifying games, and a long domestic season to go before the World Cup starts. Tuchel was hired to win. His ego is/was big enough for him to take the job. Roll on to September.
  7. Yesterday
  8. Embarrassing Gav.
  9. Not really, it's standard fare everywhere especially for government and other institutions like that. The whole institution of 'journalism' is completely co-opted into that. That's why you never see any real exposés of any corruption or what have you. It's not really journalism it's just propaganda. There are smaller independent journalists that actually do their job properly but they're harder to find. They are out there though. Venkys use a lot of the same tactics as governments but just in a cheaper and shitter way which is why they're so easy to predict. Unless you were talking about the woman fighting her toddler over a bag of smack, which again is a daily occurrence in Blackburn and not really much of a newsworthy story.
  10. The Summer transfer thread on the other hand 😉
  11. Did we bring in somebody from Millwall to handle our player/promotional photography?
  12. Dont listen to journo’s anyone can do it just look at Alan Nixon
  13. It is about time friendlies and Nations Cup were scrapped. It is far too easy to qualify for major tournaments now.. The better Premier league players are foreigners.
  14. There's nothing whatsoever to suggest that's the case, things had started to get very stale under Southgate and results and performances were going backwards not improving. We were incredibly fortunate we didn't go out of last year's Euros at the last 16 stage against Slovakia. Southgate peaked at half time of the 2020 Euro Final. After that match he should have been replaced.
  15. Belgium podcast soccer journalist far from complimentary about De Neve. Lacks creativity and rarely attempts on goal. Was not considered to be one of their better players in a team that's been fighting relegation from a lower standard league than the Championship. Also mentioned that the club has been badly run so all in all he should feel at home at Rovers. Might be ok in L1 the season after next.
  16. He'd have reached the final this time, that's the standard Tuchel has inherited. I just hope he doesn't ruin all Southgate's brilliant work throughout the whole set up.
  17. If he has, then that's more a reflection on the players than the manager. There's nothing wrong with Tuchel's managerial credentials. He needs to stop picking Gallagher and Henderson though. Former is useless, latter is past it.
  18. I had a neighbour that looked like that when he’d been sniffing glue. If fact he looked better than that.
  19. Why's that then? Southgate only ever reached the semi final and most recently the quarter final of the World Cup.
  20. To any journo worth their salt (which is the whole problem), that is a story in itself.
  21. He should have signed for Preston, he'd have been the new KDB.
  22. You've got to feel for Tuchel, knowing only a final appearance will do is a daunting task.
  23. I’m not one for knee jerk reactions, but after another abysmal performance with a bonkers team selection and flying Toney in for 7mins, I’m calling it now. Get rid of this moron now, he’s winning nothing and I think he’s lost the players already.
  24. If Curtis Jones, Connor Gallagher and Jordan Henderson are serious contenders to anchor the midfield then you probably arent going to get very far. Same with the likes of Colwill, Chalobah and Burn at centre back. The vast majority of the attacking players all want to play the same position and its not the first attempt to try and squeeze them on together. If you even play 2 of Bellingham, Palmer, Eze, Gibbs White, Rogers and Foden at the same time then you are going to end up imbalanced.
  25. I think you’re on the fence with this signing
