  1. Past hour
  2. How is commenting that a boycott that doesn’t have a sizeable number of match goers boycotting isn’t much cop an irrelevant observation? Campaigns, whatever the cause are about hearts and minds, if this boycott doesn’t grasp said hearts and minds of the very people it is supposed to - I.e the folk being asked not to attend, then this part of the campaign is a failure.
  3. What's the point in digital ticketing then?
  4. Many, many, thanks to BRFCS, for keeping this Texan close to the team he loves! Thank you all!
  5. Completely irrelevant imo as long as it's only one part of a concerted and co-ordinated campaign to get them out that never lets up. Presumably some things will work better than others.
  6. In terms of sheer numbers I stopped going three and a half years ago so my decision to support a boycott won't make any difference. I do however fully support the call for a boycott. Imo we have to do something or the Club dies. Im prepared to support any initiatives the Coalition come up with and god willing will be back at Ewood on a permanent basis should they be successful in their aims.
  7. Absolute joke that both these and boro tickets have gone off sale have been waiting to finalise all our plans for over Christmas and could now attend both games but cant go as tickets taken off sale days before the game even though digital tickets
  8. sidnei is the same standard as herold goulon and hope akpan,i,.e clucking useless,he`s worse than jason lowe imo and thats a very low bar,we now know why he barely complete a game for morinense
  9. As a tactic has it worked elsewhere? Yes. Would these owners care? I’m highly dubious going off their track record, but who really knows, so it’s a start. Will a high percentage of the remaining match goers go for it? In my opinion, no. Point three is therefore the issue. The Coalition and this forum are coming from a position of where they are and where they think the match goers also should be, not where they *actually* are. Of course it’s only one game, of course it’s for the greater good, but if the majority of those still attending Ewood don’t see it that way and to them ‘regardless of owners you still go and get behind the team’ and yes, ‘who’s this lot telling me what to do?’ then it will ultimately fall on it’s arse as a campaign.
  10. Today
  11. Have you been watching any of our games? He's the most limited footballer I've seen for Rovers probably ever, and we've had Chris Brown. He is absolutely wank.
  12. Joint 7th best defence in the league joint 20th worst attack in the league that tells its own story
  13. Perhaps the physios have knocked-off for Christmas ?
  14. None of us know whether a boycott will work at Ewood, but there is evidence it has worked at other clubs, so there is hope. After 15 years of failure, mediocrity, countless embarrassing PR stories and zero ambition shown, there is no other realistic set of options for ways we can protest the regime that are within the law except a boycott. I hope as many fans as possible will bite the bullet and boycott just the one game to see if that makes a difference. It's just one game to send a message, the sky won't fall in if we all just miss one game to let them know how we feel. As a fan base we can assess the impact and go from there. We need to think about the long term, not dwell on missing one 90 minute match which will mean little in the grand scheme of things.
  15. I often think that just three years earlier Rovers had what was - IMO- the best rovers team I’ve ever seen. How the mighty fell. three years earlier. Spot the changes Else Bray Newton. Clayton England McGrath. Ferguson McEvoy Pickering Douglas Harrison. .
  16. Can't say I'd be surprised if I found out the club had just left him to his own devices rather than ensuring he was getting the best care. Let's hope it's just a bullshit story though.
  17. Lol, didn't realise there was such a split in the fan base when Kidd was sacked. The bloke clearly wasn't cut out to be a first team manager. Score one for Uncle Jack there.
  18. Boycott. Its been too long. Too neglectful , the impact on the town has been damaging. Lived here all my life and probably posted the same stuff time and time again. The town needs this club to be up there again. As a percentage of our great historical town it was a high flying asset. Proudly verbalised by many during football chats at work, the on a train platform, on holiday. Little old Blackburn Rovers the jewel in the Lancashire Crown. Boycott. We want owners that care about our heritage and our town.
  19. Or, in the alternate universe inhabited by some wealthy locals with a connection to the statue... "Feck that, I'm a narcissistic sociopath with no interest in anything except myself, and I'm certainly not going to do anything to remind everyone how successful my old man was, or how insignificant and pathetic I am in comparison to his crumbling legacy..."
  20. One from the archives. Wonder whatever happened to that unofficial fans site? 🤔 https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/6104251.kidd-too-quick-jack-netsurfers-blow-fuse/
  21. I’m in the same boat. Had a season ticket from way back when..but I no longer attend matches at Ewood. I will , as will 3 members of my family , buy one the minute they are gone. I fully support any action that could regain our values in whatever league that might be ..even League 2 or lower.
  22. Last time I had a season ticket was the season these clowns rocked up.. They need to go.
  23. With no Archer for the rest of the series its going to be tough for this group. Even with the Ashes gone, I was still looking forward to the cricket remaining, we have something to prove, but with Archer out we will struggle. The last 4yrs have been superb on the test front, if more than a little unorthodox and frustrating at times. I like the fact we’ve had the balls to try something different, broken records all over the place and won test matches, after all that was the plan after the Root era where English cricket was on its arse, 17-2 and all that. If this piss up and stag doo proves to be nothing more than the press making mischief, I’d stick with the current setup. They will have learnt so much on this tour, we need some middle ground and I think we’ll get it.
  24. I appreciate that it is a completely different level, but Edmondson does play as a lone deep lying midfielder for Macclesfield, flanked by 2 more attacking midfielders, so the setup at least is comparable to Tronstad being flanked by Cantwell & Morishita
  25. I’d have to see the lad play before I comment further but defensive midfield players like Tronstad are born and not made. You need to have the right mentality to play that role.
  26. Two new strikers ? In an ideal world yes, but we’re talking Venkies Rovers here. I’d be happy with one. But not a loan like that waster we signed last season who’s name I’ve already forgotten.
