Have to say looking at win% at his 4 clubs, Dave Challinor has a very impressive record. Wouldn't be against his appointment, done a fantastic job at Stockport

So does Adam Owen, so does Pasha. We are still fishing in the same SEM infested pond

...and there were similar rumours around the Andy Cole transfer as well. Something to remember when heralding him as a man of character.

Have a feeling we've gone for Luis Boa Morte again...

It makes absolutely zero sense for us to take an interest in Richardson. He was unemployed for over 18 months after he was sacked after a short failed spell at Rotherham, and has been at Reading for 15 games. We would now have to pay them compensation. There are far better, safer and more interesting options who are unemployed and we could use the compensation money to pay them a bonus or higher wage. He isn't good enough and certainly not good enough to warrant paying a good chunk of compensation for. His Championship record at Wigan and Rotherham is dismal, infact other than 1 League One season at Wigan after they were relegated and a few games at Reading in League One he's never done it. The links to Blackburn are stretching it big time - time in our academy going on 30 years ago should be irrelevant.

Coleman has links to Kean , just let that sink in ! Gestede has too. It makes me wonder , what the fuck is going on !

About 20 years ago I had a pal who managed a girls team. He had no scrutiny as the team was just getting started so he was able to get away with doing his own thing. Without fail he'd leave 4 players up front on opposition corners. It confused the life out of the other managers. I doubt that Prem teams would do that as players like van Dijk and Gabriel would thrive with plenty of space to run into, but it's an option.

If I remember rightly didn’t they get a penalty where the ball went up in the air, Steve Nzonzi completely lost track of the ball, it came back down and hit his arm, the ref gave a pen ! -

Hasn’t Pratt got a serious facial injury ? He’ll be back next season. -

I'm interested to know your justification for that. It's 11 years since he led Wales in the Euros, but since then it's been pretty downhill, with his longest stint being 11 months in China where he was sacked with the team in the relegation zone. The January 2026 Transfer Window

Yeah. A lot of calls for Henriksson to be left out on here but as he's been signed on a long contract, no one was leaving him out and looking like an idiot. -

If that's true then Sparky has gone up even further in my estimation

Are you his agent, or related to him in any way ?

Hedges likely played his last game for Rovers. -
Remember somewhere somebody said Ferguson went into Hughes' office and said he wanted to leave and Hughes' reply was 'well get the fuck out of my office then'

Tin hat on but Coleman looks a good shout to me, thought so as soon as his name came up, although I wouldn't have thought of him I'll admit.

Nostalgia always overtakes when there isnt a managerial vacancy. Robbie Savage has only had a couple of brief spells outside the football league at clubs with big budgets. If he wasn't Robbie Savage, he wouldnt be considered. Mark Hughes did well here 20 years ago. His last 2 jobs are Carlisle where he isnt pulling up any trees and Bradford. And Tim Sherwood doesnt even warrant further discussion.
