  1. Past hour
  2. Was 3-1 Burnley at HT. Walker didn't play for them and Cantwell didn't play for us - that's all I've got.
  3. I do not think that it is the sales that people get upset about, its that with proper contract management, most sales are either completely avoidable, or we would be able to ask for much higher fees, which could then (in theory at least) lead to us having more to invest on improving the squad. The frustration comes from trying to save a few pennies in the here and now by not attempting to renew contracts until the last minute, or offering derisory wages (when compared to our rivals)
  4. Fair enough. I just find it annoying when, of everything there is to be angry about, people are upset at the prospect of a player being sold, especially someone we've brought in from an obscure league mainly to make a profit on him in the future!
  5. Igor Tyjon made an instant impact off the bench as England Under-18s battled back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with France’s Under-18 Apologies for the shouty bold text, I just copied and pasted from the story on Rovers site
  6. Times have changed. There were so many great suggestions put to the club which they could have followed up to make sure that there were some actual celebrations in addition to simply labelling a league match as 'The anniversary game'. You may have been involved in the 150th committee yourself ? WATR started making suggestions over 2 years ago. Relations between the club and the fans is at an all time low. The 150th anniversary presented an opportunity for the club to rebuild some bridges and show some interest in the fans and the community. The obvious disrespect that they continue to show for the fans is epitomised by the indifference with which they have approached our 150th year.
  7. I am trying to raise issues and hopefully get a few things sorted. A real shame, Women's players on this years edition of Fifa (EAFC26) are highly sought after on the online modes of the game. a promotion to the WSL would've Absolutely skyrocketed the reputation of the women's side. To say we shot ourselves in the foot is a real understatement, it is the exact same scenario as when the men's side got relegated. 1 more season in the prem and we would've had the new TV deal to contend with enhancing budgets across the board... hindsight is wonderful!
  8. That's good to know. I'm not sure if the club commissions works like that or the community does. @only2garners could this also be pursued at the next FF
  9. Today
  10. I still consider this a meaningless stat.
  11. Steve Waggott had planned to have 3 gable ends painted. They were also going to follow up with the WATR suggestion of a Blue Plaque on the site of Rovers formation; we even provided evidence that the shop owner was keen for this to happen.
  12. That costs money, imagination and planning...all lacking down Ewood way these days.
  13. To be fair he has to fit all family engagements into international breaks as he certainly wouldn’t be missing QPR at home for one.
  14. Your just left feeling what's the point anymore.
  15. https://www.alexandragallagherart.com/ https://www.nomadclan.co.uk/ https://www.jamieholman.co.uk/ All local or have been involved in local works in town such as the gable emd art in city centre
  16. So what game did you go to then?
  17. Yesterday
  18. From what reliable source?.
  19. How many clubs have had their ownership deliberately relegate them out of the Premier League and then repeatedly & deliberately sabotage any chances of them ever getting back there? I can only think of 1 example.
  20. Chansiri about to sell up to Mike Ashley by the sounds of things. Lucky Sheffield Wednesday. Whereas we'll be stuck with this lot forever. Precisely why I'd have rather had a couple of years of Sheffield Wednesday misery with an end to it and some light at the end of the tunnel to what we've got. Still, nobody buys loss making, debt ridden, struggling Championship clubs eh?
  21. Details matter. Does anyone at the club even care any more. We're doing a slow death. Someone's in convinced venkys won't go until the club is out of existence
  22. First team keeper got injured early in the first half, with no sub keeper we had to play an outfielder in goal....
  23. I think it’s barely a debate, Chansiri is by far the worst owner in English football. The silver lining is he’s so bad that they will be free of him sooner than our current managed decline so ours feels worse, a slow death rather than a quick one with chance to rise again
  24. So you would have gone to a game but instead you did something else instead of going to a game, sounds like you never really were going to a game at all!
  25. David Bowie - John, I’m Only Dancing
  26. John Coltrane - Out Of This World
  27. Bloody hell that's a scary place to be - even now!
