  1. Past hour
  2. Miyoshi is an established Championship player. I am struggling to see how his wage demands would be lower than Brittain, Travis or Tronstad?
  3. I lot depends on the player and the circumstances of their leaving. Most people on here were wishing Sammi well because of how he played and they could see he deserved a shot at the big time.
  4. I had the figures wrong, it was Β£1M, so even more mental
  5. And also why loans are moronic unless you're pushing for promotion. Spending Β£x,000 to develop someone else's player whilst being happy to bob around mid table is stupid.
  6. I agree with what Glen said - we're not spending big (we'll have covered our costs anyway with the sales), but they're not going to rush out and correct the figures that have been bandied around because it doesn't benefit them to.
  7. It serves the purposes of all clubs and the media National media get to sensationalise amounts and get more clicks etc Selling club & buying club (and their local journos) both get to claim they got a great deal Accounts appear circa 2 years later, with all transfer fees amalgamated into one, so it is still murky even then. Even for loan deals, some of the loan fees are eye-watering and not disclosed. Pretty sure from memory, Hull were meant to pay over Β£500K Β£1M for Louie Barry for half a season, even though he had never played above League 1 level previously. I think that amount was only revealed as Hull didn't pay it in time Edit - I stand corrected, it was a Β£1M loan fee for what was in essence a 4 month loan
  8. Toth Miller/Alebiosu Hyam McLoughlin Pickering Travis Tronstad Henriksson Cantwell Kargbo Ohashi Not ideal playing Henriksson out of position but what is even less ideal is starting Hedges. He has been playing in Sweden so should be fit enough. Guessing Miller will not be fit enough, we cant play Montgomery there so Alebiosu it is. Pickering and Kargbo would be my choices but suspect Ribeiro and De Neve will start.
  9. IMO, it's just to hide the true cost so the club through the media can then over-egg and over-hype the transfer fees so the gullible in our fan base think we are really splashing the cash.
  10. If we don't lose , I will be pleasantly surprised . We have signed a few midfielders and no forwards , we are going to have to score goals to have a chance of staying up( . I doubt any of the midfielders will be an improvement on Travis, Tronstadt and the lad who was on loan from Stoke for the 1st half of last season . Going to be a long season !!
  11. What is the YouTube channel please Glen?
  12. With the exception of free transfers, every player that everyone signs is for an undisclosed fee
  13. Every Player we sign is for an undisclosed fee.
  14. I don't think the new independent regulator has been appointed yet so is that meeting a promise to meet when appointed or a meeting with a member of the Regulator's Office ?
  15. I would think its possibly more a historically smaller club mentality... Its expected that the better players will move on to something better Wait until all our fans are not old enough to remember pre Venky Rovers & our fans may be waving players off whilst wishing them the best too "Well it is the mighty Wrexham, they are a top half Premier League team and qualified for Europe don't you know. How can little National League Rovers compete with them?"
  16. Just a little update. The Trust are finalising the current boards roles for the next 12 months. These have been circulated to the other board members to give them an opportunity to identify which role sits best with their skillset. @oldjamfan1 has been on the ball as ever and secured a meeting with the new independent regulator, this is absolutely fantastic news and were hopeful this aids significantly addressing some of the issues we currently face. MOU - We've had no response from the club which is most disappointing, not even an acknowledgement. We'll discuss the next steps at our own internal board meeting later this month. We are going to be pushing our YouTube channel much more going forwards. With the lead in to the 150 celebrations we've some good ideas which we wish to take forwards, whilst we've secured an intriguing guest for our first interview which is penciled in for later this month. (Not to be missed). Growing credibility amongst local stakeholders, patrons and fellow supporters remains high on the agenda as we look to grow our visibility and membership. A trust is only as strong as its supporters, and we really need everyone's help to become the trust you would all like us to be.
  17. Funny how foreign fans seem to bear no animosity to players leaving their club, wishing them all the best. Yet over here they are regarded somehow as traitors for daring to leave for new challenges. Maybe it's just the British mentality.
  18. I buy 4 season tickets, mine plus 3 grandchildren. My son buys his own. How do the grandkids get in if I can't go? Should be ok if still able to use current season cards, but what about next season?
  19. In agreeing with lraC’s comment re no confidence votes. I took it he was referring to club forum members and not fan members. Sorry if I got that wrong
  20. ..And that is all you can do Glen, transparency and honesty is all we ask for from these meetings. If the Club dont like it then Tuff, the truth needs to be known.
  21. Today
  22. It is/has been a problem, I've been saying for a few weeks that things do seem different to the last few years, but it's the proof of the pudding and all that. Hopefully we see a change for the better.
  23. Wait until 2027, everyone bar our new signings are out of contract then. Some will have the kick the can down the road 12 months options though I suppose.
