  1. Past hour
  2. I think it would be totally underappreciating how good Brittain was to suggest that Alebiosu is better. He was probably the best right back in the league behind Bogle last season. Going forward, fantastic, and much more solid defensively. Its no insult to Alebiousu to not compare him favourably. There is definitely something to work with. His positioning is questionable but he is used to playing at wing back and his pace can often get him out of trouble. And he isnt the most refined in attack but he will be a threat again purely due to his pace and power. For the third today, his initial touch was shocking but his power bundled hin through and we got a goal from it.
  3. I think most of us care when our fans chant the name of a Nazi-sympathiser, convicted fraudster and violent low-life.
  4. Preston will be getting giddy as fuck, prematurely, again. Granted it has been a good start for them, but not a chance in hell it lasts.
  5. A good win against a virus hit Hull. To me summed what the Championship is about - we took our chances, they missed or we saved theirs. Once ahead we played with great flair and control - but did get the run of the ball at times (if not the referee). So good win, some nice performances and return to form of certain players like Cantwell and Tronstad - but doesn't cover up lack of pace up front or Kagbo going off with his thigh quickly strapped up. But as with the defeats we suffered, it was fine margins - which for once went our way.
  6. I know it's been a difficult few weeks, but I hope that was not a wave "goodbye" at the end...
  7. Not entirely convinced on Afolayan personally. Odd one.
  8. that would be a bad move for him, watford change their manager whenever the sky turns grey,if hyam wants a move then he can do better imo
  9. Talking about bad refs, what was going on at West Brom
  10. Haha...Some may regard it as vulgar, but it is certainly one of the oldest words in English. I am certain the word goes right back to the Anglo Saxons... Anyway, it helped make your point very well..
  11. I suppose it's weather Hyam's happy, does he want to get out- I think he's a steady performer, would rather he stays given the amount of players we've already shed.. I still think he leaves.. Trondstadt maybe too...
  12. a fire sale at ewood, preformance today will put ideas in the board’s head they can still squeeze 1-2 outgoings to further cut costs.. i expected this
  13. Let’s wait and see drama unfolds in the next seven days first 🤣🤣
  14. Agreed. Seven transfers in a brief period of time, now, we are starting to see some good fruit. It’s still early, but I don’t see the team stink it up this season or get relegated. Perhaps hold down its current place on the table. Maybe better. Let’s see what happens when the waves of injuries hit- it always happens.
  15. Was it the use of the word shite? 🙂
  16. Watford eyeing hyam - according to Nixon.
  17. Agreed. Perhaps realised that his mate is going and not much he can do about it so better just get on with it? Body language much better. Needs must I guess for a pro. Shop window too for next year?
  18. Just come back from next doors watching Leeds (he's a Leeds fan, from Portsmouth) I bought the beer, he bought the Chinese takeaway delivery, I got the best deal watching him cringe 😁
  19. Today
  20. Here's a thought. We get into playoffs but don't go up. What's wrong with the project, we nearly did it. On no money. Pasha and Gestede are great. Let's continue the project. What are you all moaning about. I'm shivering.
  21. Games like today make you realise why you still keep doing away games every other week. This was a superb performance, a real team effort with everyone making a contribution. For the first time this season we started on the front foot and with a high press and what a difference it makes. The new players are slowly bedding in and doubts I had about Alebiosu and Tavares were swept aside today. Both looked very comfortable at this level. McLoughlin looks a very good signing, younger than Batth but just as good in the centre of defence. He looks a real bargain. I must admit I had my doubts about Cantwell as a captain, but he rose to the occasion and gave his best display so far for the club. He was unplayable at times today and took his goal very well. Hedges showed why Ismael continues pick him. He worked hard throughout, scored a goal with an exquisite finish and played an important part in the second. The bonus was the return to form of Tronstad. He was simply outstanding from first to last and completely bossed the midfield, particularly in the second-half when Rovers took complete control of the game. We still need to strengthen, although I was pleased that Montgomery put the Bradford game behind him and looked the part when he came on in centre-midfield - his proper position. One or two more performances like this and I might start revising my view of a bottom half finish.
  22. I just have to applaud your grasp of the English language. Thanks!
  23. Time will tell, won’t it. If it’s the making of him then fantastic.. but there’s a reason why a quality footballer (in his peak years) like him is here as he’s had a few false dawns in his career.
