  1. Past hour
  2. Why Venkys continue to own us and wont try and sell, despite making large annual losses but likewise wont try and chase promotion to where the big money is...is one of lifes great mysteries. Seems completely pointless. Unless theres some dodgy tax write off scheme going on...which is more likely I suspect. If a billion pound company has a couple of small loss makers, it may save them more in tax gains than the losses we make.
  3. Massive trouble next season whatever league we are in thats the plan. Would rather see James Edmondson promoted if we're not going to replace him properly.
  4. No, and it never will. They will still be here in 10 years time with them crowing about how competitive we are a league or two lower.
  5. Great news for the lad. From no-where really, complete unknown when signed, no real club pedigree...to performing like he has and now a soon to be international. Good on him. Fuck me though, our squad is in bits at the moment. I know our owners have asset stripped for years, and the summer window was an abomination....but that must be 8 or 9 first teamers unavailable now. Any championship side would struggle with that.
  6. To be fair I think we can win tomorrow. I just don't fancy us in the games after, especially with our injury situation, you just know Cantwell will "break down" again soon. Alebiosu going to afcon is a huge blow too. Would love to be wrong and come out of that batch of games with some breathing room, but we'll see.
  7. Last I saw, Carter was at Freight Island in Manny last night (judging by his Instagram).
  8. Seems a bit of a generalisation, and not something I'd heard of. And in Alebiosu's case, it was reported he had to apply for a Nigerian passport months ago in order to be eligible, so hardly a shock to him.
  9. Carter has played 1 senior game this season, and that was 3 months ago, he hasn't even featured for the U21s since August. He will not be ready to start, They have already brought him back from injury too early twice this season, so will be cautious of doing so again. As such, I would be amazed if we even see him on the bench much before new year
  10. Massive blow for us but delighted for the player. His form has been excellent. Where we go? Isn't Carter back shortly. Maybe next week. I would be tempt to go back 4-2-3-1 with TGH at right back, Miller and McLoughlin at centre back with Ribeiro at left back. Unless Carter is back and till 1st of January when we recall O'Riordan back
  11. Well its was @KidderStreetNoisepodcast with GM that it was Suhail wasnt around and Coar seem to running things 39 mins into this podcast that comment is made
  12. Today
  13. Brilliant again Herbie, you're a natural. You'll be on Match of the Day if you keep this up!
  14. What bugs the life out of me is that Blackburn Rovers fans are not militant, we are not. Blackburn Rovers fans are not excessively abusive and DO support the team. The level of support from the fans, when continually having custard pies thrown in their face is far greater than what the owners would get at any other club, I am absolutely convinced of it.
  15. Yep, from Eustace going onwards it has been such a total farce they no longer can keep a lid on it. They got lucky with a few decent managers in a row that managed to keep the show on the road and crowds stayed fairly stable (still far too low, but steady), leaving the regime to quietly get on with their cutbacks. But like everything in life, too many cut backs and overall neglect has led to the dam breaking (quite literally in some ways) and they are scuttling around like insects when a rock is lifted.
  16. oh I don't know, He will likely never player the Tronstad role well, but he will do it badly 😉
  17. That’s good for him avoid the chaos and carnage that ensews the club he’ll be sold soon enough, sadly
  18. Yesterday
  19. they always come up with the token "blame the fans for all the clubs problems" there must be a bit of disquiet behind the scenes,it`s a stock response from them, hopefully venkys are going to **** off and leave us to build a football club again
  20. Really deserved but a huge blow for us. Knowing our luck he’ll get injured out there and be out till March
  21. Question. You meet a broad section of EFL fans and journos and convey our issues very eloquently. Do you get the impression we are seen as a crisis club or just down on our luck?
  22. I care more about Rovers and Blackburn than thosez see you next Tuesdays. So they can whistle if they think ill ever happy clap for them.
  23. He chose to represent his parents’ country Nigeria.
  24. Just playing the victims again and trying to sow divisions between supporters, making out that those who complain/criticise are the villains here and are behaving unreasonably. Of course those of us with any grasp on reality know that when a group of people take a sledgehammer to a football club, run it into the ground, and drag its reputation and name through the gutter those complicit in it should not be surprised when criticism comes their way. I get the impression, like with Elliot Jackson, they'd love to ban/stop the 'problem' fans from attending games so they can just carry on dismantling in peace with a few thousand head in sand gang behind them at Ewood. Only it isn't so easy when you can't revoke access for complaining. I'd like to think they are panicking here - knowing the damage (and growing) done since the summer, the plummeting gates and atmosphere at Ewood - and they are really so daft they think a video like this is going to change the direction of things. I know I am and I'm sure many others are at the point where words are meaningless. They can promise the earth, release videos and all manner of other gimmicks it doesn't matter any more. The damage has been done and only serious action turns this around. That means regime change, no less. They're either completely and totally out of touch with reality and how people are feeling after what has gone on here or are deliberately on the wind up with stuff like this, knowing they'll provoke more outrage.
  25. They probably called him up without asking him first. That's what African nations do in the hope they can blag themselves a player
