  1. Past hour
  2. Pickering is being left out for none footballing reasons surely?
  3. id`e play ribeiro/pickering on that side, they might not offer much going forward but they can defend, deneve would be brilliant in a 5 a side game no doubt, but he`s lost in a competetive match,he has`nt got the important bit of tracking back, marking or being able to tackle
  4. A real shame for Hedges as his performances have been very good. The change to wing back suits him. De Neve will start, I'm sure. I'm now 20% less confident of winning
  5. To Wednesday this is a free hit, day out for the fans and best chance of an away win all season given our record. No pressure on them whatsoever.
  6. Difficult to call. Yes, Owls almost certainly doomed to relegation, however, their hated owner has gone and there is a new found optimism - couple that with the backing of 5 thousands fans and this game is undoubtedly going to be difficult. If I had to make a call then it would be for another Rovers' home loss.
  7. Wouldn't surprise me, as you say they could just give it back for a quid or something but as it is someone is drawing a few hundred grand a year rent money it seems. Another odd situation in the money go round.
  8. Might as well hand them out like the national team ones at this point.
  9. Those making the decisions at Ewood are living in some sort of Parallel universe from the rest of us.
  10. Hedges is out for a couple of weeks which presumably will turn into over a month as tends to happen now. Under no circumstances should he bring in the useless De Neve.
  11. Why would it require talks if he has a pre agreed fee in his contract? Im not convinced by him. Very average and wouldnt be rushing to sign him permanently.
  12. Way back when I would stop and see my grandad on the way home from school as he wrote the draw down as it happened (live from Soho of course!) and he would give me the list to mull over as I walked back. Wonderful memories. I remember posting on here a few days before our fateful QF at Bramall Lane a couple of years ago that I was literally bouncing around with excitement. It may be old and weary these days but my god when it sparkles it is utter magic.
  13. Standard defeat at Wigan away (if they beat Barrow)
  14. I've been one of the biggest supporters of the current regime, they've taken English cricket to another level, a winning level and I've loved almost every minute of it. But the catching has been abysmal throughout this tenure, something you can practice till the cows come home, which I’m sure they do, but dropping that many catches could well have lost us this test and ashes. I'm sure the ball will come into question and under lights, but its not just this test. Not good enough Stokes/McCullum.
  15. I’m sure he’s a nice lad but John Buckley getting a cap it’s embarrassing And clearly just because he’s over visiting during his mid season break.
  16. Exactly. The quality will be massively reduced now there are 48 teams and most of the jeopardy is removed in the group stages now most 3rd place teams go through. Making the top 4 seeded teams is also a stupid decision. Thats before you even consider non footballing issues.
  17. Cantwell was back on it weeks/months before he finally turned out (perhaps they are smoking it, rather than playing on it). As for tomorrow, heart says drab 1-0 win. Head says 1-1 and more "woe us" storylines from the management.
  18. Not to mention Ronaldo avoiding the two game ban to ensure he's playing. Like you say, it's already beginning to smell and it's still a good six months away.
  19. I still like the FA Cup but its a dead competition these days. No replays, games kicking off at anytime between a Thursday evening and Monday evening, empty grounds, sides playing reserve teams even if they sit comfortable mid table in the prem. My guess is we'll get West Brom at home.
  20. Rovers giving more caps to players who don't make our initial list? Simon Barker John Buckley? The luckiest to get a cap so far?
  21. I think tomorrow's the day we finally see out a 1-0 win, accompanied with frustration about why we couldn't do that in the previous two games. There's enough about our first 11 and recent performances to suggest things are going to pick up soon, IMO. A nostalgic look back on this fixture from 1997. 20 minute highlights:
  22. Sheffield Wednesday will be looking at this thinking they can get a rare win so them and there fans will be right up for it.
  23. I know! I was agreeing with him. 🙂
  24. Today
  25. Do you suspect they are keeping hold of Brockhall in case of any sale / Admin they have a bargaining chip to squeeze out extra cash of any possible buyer to buy it back? They could presumably return it to the club or charge a peppercorn rent? neither happening.
