  1. Past hour
  2. Even worse. Looks like really tacky cheap knock off stuff with a poor version of the Rovers badge ironed on the front.
  3. Not sure if Jackson has had his knuckles rapped after a brief spell of questioning things but he now seems to be back full square banging the Company drum. A headline this week was "First out of contract Rovers player signs contract extension". Happy days you might have thought. Probably Brittain with whom we've allegedly been in protracted discussions? (No) OK, Dolan, Travis, Tronstad? (No) Actually a lad called Felix Goddard who I must confess I've never heard of. Apparently a 21 year old keeper out on loan at Ebbsfleet United who again Ive never heard of but he must be (at best) 5th choice keeper as he'll be behind Toth, Pears, Michaelowski (sp) and Jack Barrett. At points like this, with headlines like that, Jackson is actively taking the piss out of the fans.

  5. Essential costs vs transfer costs has utterly no relevance to an anti fraud or money laundering unit. Their remit is to deal with fraud, and money laundering. As far as has been heard, there is no official allegation by them of impropriety over transfers, and even if they suspect it (which we almost all do), the judge isn't on the anti fraud or money laundering team. In theory at least, he should follow the letter of the law. Government pressure notwithstanding, he would still have to be able to justify, legally, not permitting transfer funds but allowing electricity bills. There's also a very solid argument that transfer funds are an essential cost of running a football club.
  6. Football really was in terminal decline in the early /mid 80's. Also it was the Thatcher era with mass unemployment, the miners strike, etc. so money was tight for many people. Many of us who were around at the time have fond memories of the football back then and the feeling of connection with the club, owners and players. But without the kick up the arse the game received with the start of the Premier League - and I know there are lots of things wrong with it - who knows what would have happened.
  7. Yesterday
  8. I couldn't work out if it just meant the word 'Macron' on the back. Surely it can't be without the standard logo on the front? Unsurprisingly, the wording is vague, much like everything else that comes out from the club.
  9. This is exactly the point that is missed by Clayton's. If that support and passion was evenly distributed through all the clubs in the country Scotland would have a cracking football league(s). But unfortunately the vast majority would rather toddle off to Glasgow or other places around the country to watch the old firm with the other plastics instead of supporting their local team. To pretend that it's any different from the dickheads at school that were Manchester United 'fans' despite growing up in shad and never been to Manchester let alone Old Trafford is laughable. I'm not sure how saying that since its inception the Scottish league has been dominated by only two clubs is in any way incorrect or doesn't prove what a joke that league is. That is absolutely as Michael Mouse as it gets. Any success by other teams is a blip and therefore it completely diminishes the value of the title. I love the argument being put forward by certain posters that, while all are free to express their opinion, they should only express opinions that they deem to be correct. Facts can't be argued with so some have to resort to childish name calling as they're clearly rattled by a few words said about their precious old firm that they don't like. Fortunately my ego is not as fragile as some and I can take the criticism and cheeky digs. If you can't handle being called out as a plastic supporter maybe either swerve the thread or grow some bollocks. Or maybe, you know, support your local team instead of travelling the length of the country to support a club you have absolutely no real affiliation with. 135 Years 11 total winners 110 titles between two clubs Explain to me how that isn't a Mickey Mouse league.
  10. Chris Sutton posting on X ( I think he means "soul"! @allrovers_ β€œIt was a great club, it’s not the same anymore it was a club with a heart and sole, with a brilliant owner and board.” Chris Sutton speaking on BBC 5 Live. #rovers
  11. Still cant see it happening. I suspect what is fake is us ever paying the fee needed to get him.
  12. Jdt was asked about links with the Boro job at the sweden presser and he didn't rule it out. Into 4/1 in some bookies
  13. Don't agree with Spurs decision to sacked Ange. After winning a trophy they should have back him not sack him. Looks like Thomas Frank is the favourite for the job
  14. Fully expecting sales approaching Β£10 million this summer to keep the show going a bit longer. Travis, Britain, Tronstad, compo for Dolan. Should just about do it.
  15. I think the training kit is smart and decent. We voted on the kits for this season via club survey https://x.com/Rovers/status/1699092776623759864?s=19
  16. and also in the near future we'd be the first Div 1 to do that!
  17. Nowhere did I said he isnt but most of that time it was official role within Rovers hierarchy and Rovers board
  18. You misunderstood my point 3 signings by the Spanish training camp in Late July
  19. I'll be straight with you here. I've thought you've been one of the most negative posters on here - even through these recent times. My god I was wrong...Jackson has been completely hung out to dry with this French mon. " advanced talks" with a half decent full back? Who the fuck are we kidding? If he has any credibility he needs to be challenging this whole story form the club. Embarrassment!
  20. They maybe sweatshop knock offs? Anything can happen at Venky Rovers!
  21. There is clearly no money. Season ticket sales are pathetic, the sponsorship money is miniscule and we aren't allowed to player trade (all the cash goes into running the club rather than being used to acquire new assets to perpetuate the cycle - y'know, short-term, short-sighted thinking). We're in massive, massive financial trouble, with the few remaining assets sold to keep the lights on - because our benevolent owners refuse to loosen the death grip they have on the club.
  22. Someone needs to bribe the Indian judge to force them to sell Rovers or open all their books from day one, or just tell em sell or be in contempt. I don't care about legalities just get.em out
