  1. Past hour
  2. How do we know they aren’t in here either?
  3. The comments section is overrun by bots. And you know what... it works. It does help guide opinion.
  4. Tavares is the most casual limp disinterested player iv'e seen here in a long while and that's saying something. Piss poor. as is the head coach keep trying to get a tune out of him and dragging the team down even more seemingly trying to justify his signing. He clearly isn't suited to what they want him to do. After watching about 20 mins of Travis yesterday for Derby this lad is as big a downgrade as you can get.
  5. It wasn't out of necessity. We had McLoughlin on the bench who should have come on with Miller (who we signed primarily as a right back) moving to right back. Bringing on Tavares made us much weaker in midfield and Gardner-Hickman was given a real schooling by Campbell. Whilst that poor decision from Ismael didn't actually cost us the game It certainly made us so much weaker in the second half.
  6. Agree with everything that Arbitro said about yesterday. Charlton is never my favourite trip but yesterday was probably one of the worst performances I've seen in a long while. Quite simply we we bullied by a team who wanted it more, that had a clear game plan and who had players who knew how to exploit our many weaknesses. I couldn't believe that this was the same team that played so well at Watford the other week. Today was the sort of game that cried out for the type of leadership that Travis gave you on the pitch. We needed a leader on the field who was prepared to do battle. For all his footballing qualities, Cantwell is not that sort of leader and he disappeared for large parts of the game. Indeed, some of his passing was way off yesterday. I accept that these players are new and still adapting to the Championship, but we can't afford too many more of these sort of performances. I'm looking for a huge improvement against Swansea.
  7. It's cos someone is paying for bots, that are pro anything rovers. All over Twitter. All over LT. All over FB.
  8. Out of necessity, yes. Got to admit, I'm surprised I'm having to explain the difference between starting a player in a position, especially a "utility" player like Hickman, and having to move him out of necessity. Just assumed we'd moved on from there.
  9. Ismael knows that if he keeps Gestede and Suhail onside that gives him far more job stability then the actual results part.
  10. Two enormous home games coming up this week. Have to hope for a minimum 4 points. After the international break it’s 6 games in 21 days, playing Coventry, a rejuvenated Sheff United, Southampton, Leicester, Bristol City and then the 150th game vs Derby! That’s a bit of a nightmare run in my opinion, and is followed by Preston, which is never easy. By 21st November I think we’ll have a very good idea of how this new team can deal with the intense demands of the championship, and that’s before we even speak about the brutal Christmas schedule.
  11. Gestede has also banned LT from Ewood Park in our 150th anniversary. I suggest not to trust a single word coming out of his mouth.
  12. My anger and frustration from yesterday has just receded slightly after seeing Esteve score two own goals. Both were finishes that any striker would have been happy with 😂. Shades of Duffy.
  13. Thoughts from the match: Underestimated how much Charlton like to press aggressively — made it even harder for us to create anything when we did have possession. Still not sure on Miller. He puts a shift in, but he looks a bit unsure on the ball and slow to react. Awful free kick from Pickering, especially given it was in a decent position. Poor change at half-time — had no impact and we got worse. Overall, we weren’t mobile enough on the ball and found it difficult to create much at all. We’ve got no balance with nobody on the left attacking wise. Would be tempted to start Gudjohnsen up front on Tuesday.
  14. Yeah, shocking. I don't trust Gestede after he's repeated that lie about Tronstad a couple of times.
  15. Today
  16. I watched the Wrexham V Derby game yesterday and both were very poor too. I think Wrexham have spent in the region of £35m too but you couldn’t tell.
  17. Catastrophically bad defeat. Charlton weren't good but we were terrible. Rovers were a bunch of cast offs playing like cast offs today. Management of the team looked just as woeful.
  18. Does anybody know if the players travelled south to London on the day of the game? They played like they did. Just asking because there was speculation before the team news that Cantwells wife was in labour and therefore was omitted from the team. Then shortly afterwards, another poster said he'd travelled with the rest of the team. Just wondered if that was on Friday or early Saturday.
  19. I haven't seen Southampton, Bristol City or Middlesbrough play yet but I'm convinced that this seasons championship quality is very poor. Charlton were better than our shite but still poor and those that think Birmingham are the second coming should think again. Bang average league this year but we will still do well to stay up. Im not going to rip into some players yet but I'm not convinced that both oashi and morishita should be starting together. Oashi and Gueye for me. Tavares should stick to opening bat and bore the pants off us and Kargbo..... Well... He's an imposter of a footballer. Laughable.
  20. My worry with the clubs approach of unearthing diamonds in the rough from Europe is that it is dependent on you having better knowledge than the other teams you are competing against. Either in terms of getting to a deal first or seeing potential that others do not. I just do not think we have the back room and management staff to create that advantage. Looking at players like Kargbo and Tavares as huge swings and misses at the moment.
  21. Pasha and Rudy will probably get sacked when we drop a league but I'm convinced Venkys will just run the club into the ground till there's nothing left.
  22. Yesterday
  23. It's so Venkys to celebrate it with a relegation.
  24. No doubt who the real villains are but VI didn't need to play those players today. Didn't need to replace Ribeiro who has been decent so far. Didn't need to move Hickman, who up to that point wasn't doing too badly in the middle and was good against Ipswich. The place that needed a shake up was up front if anything as we've been pretty woeful in the final third. Today his subs and shape changes turned a mediocre performance into a very poor one.
  25. Only 23 but so far his career has been underwhelming. Agents must see Rovers as manna from heaven. 2021 Leicester City 2 (0) 2021–2024 Porto B 38 (0) 2023 → Colorado Rapids (loan) 5 (0) 2024–2025 Moreirense 29 (1) Tavares is a product of the Leicester City academy, which he joined in 2010 at the age of 9 from local grassroots club Carib SSFC and signed his first professional contract in 2019.[5] He made his debut in the UEFA Europa League as an 80th-minute substitute during a 2–0 defeat against Slavia Prague on 25 February 2021.[6] The following week, on 3 March 2021, he made his first Premier League appearance as a 77th-minute substitute during a 1–1 draw against Burnley.[7] Tavares made his first Premier League start against Brighton on 6 March 2021. In that match, he produced an on-target volley from the edge of the box, only to see it saved by opposing goalkeeper Robert Sánchez.[8] In 2021 Tavares signed for Porto B where he made sporadic appearances. In 2023 he joined Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids on loan until the end of June 2024.[9] In the summer of 2024 Tavares moved to Portuguese top flight side Moriense for an undisclosed fee. He made his debut on 11 August 2024 against Farense, receiving two yellow cards and therefore being sent off in the second half. He scored his first goal against Estrela Amadora in a 1–1 draw after coming off the bench, scoring in the 78th minute.[citation needed] On 20 June 2025, Tavares joined EFL Championship side Blackburn Rovers on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.[10]
  26. So to celebrate our 150th year… we’ve cut ties with our local paper. Didn’t have that on my bingo card tbh.
  27. I got told by the Doctor to ensure twice per week before my test at week 16. Pffft, amateur!
