Watched the Coventry game back. System does seem to suit us. Particularly like how we work down the sides (getting loads more crosses in) and having two up front. Interested to see how we continue with it. I would say lets give Gueye a chance up top with Ohashi. Gudjonsen is getting nothing out of defenders, and I think Ohashi could suit Gueye more as a partner than Kargbo.

Why fixated on 1892? Surely the earliest we can find on record ought to be the one to be used. What would your proposal be ?

I have seen him play on both sides and he looks equally adept at both. The advantage of being two footed I suppose.

Am I right in that Pitt is actually a right footed right back? Albeit he was playing on the left today. I seem to recall him being used more often as a right back Captained Wales U17 last week too

Lets not start panicking about the weather again it'll be absolutely sound to play tonight. If we get an early goal the paltry crowd might even get into it as well. We could so do with a Travis type for a game like this.

Rovers under 17's out in a sterling performance this afternoon beating Stoke 7-1 in atrocious conditions. Some of the football was excellent and it strikes me that as well as having some real talent they are a really well coached group. A 3-0 half time score was a fair reflection but a slow start to the second half saw Stoke pull one back but this seemed to be the kick up the backside they needed and from then on it was almost total dominance and in truth the score could have been more. There were lots of really good individual performances but it was the collective which was impressive. It was good to see Harvey Higgins score before he went off at half-time. This was planned I was told following the 45 minutes he got recently. He will have a hour on Saturday at Leeds and providing there is no reaction it will be full steam ahead. The left back Theo Pitt looks a hell of a prospect and he is 15. Mbonzale is 14 and we brought a lad on called Oliver Flynn after about 75 minutes who looked about 12. It's early days yet but I'm quite excited about this group.

Considering the absolute villains who buy and sell football clubs now without ever turning up with serious skeletons in their closets during due diligence, it would surprise me if Venkys are uniquely bad in that regard. And as for a managed decline, they’d have to want to avoid something truly terrible to prefer facing the alternative cost of keep bleeding money (not enough for a championship team with any ambition, but surely enough to harm them financially?) into the club for 10 more years. To me, this doesn’t clear occam’s razor. But who the hell knows what goes on with them, truly?

I genuinely would start fining Gueye every time he's caught offside through his own lack of awareness it's ridiculous now he's had more than enough time to adapt. If it was the Kean era betting accusations would be swirling.
