Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
miqaayil replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Any football club would sack VI after the ipswich game ...but i have come to realize we are no longer a football club but a asset stripping and laundry business of Pasha and Agents with SBI PUBLIC MONIES...so this shit will go on till the bow breaks and cradle falls... i was hoping the case will be the final straw but it seems we gonna weather this till earliest 2029( those who know will know ) -

He's been run into the ground and from Ismael's comments the new signing isn't ready so it'll be him and Henriksson again I expect. Surprised he hasn't done his hamstrings yet to be completely honest. -

Watched them v Boro Friday night. Although they lost 3-2 to a late goal right at the death they played pretty well and I can't see them going down. -

Im amazed you've had this confidence all season that we'll stay up. I've been of the view that those away wins in the first half of the campaign were very much an outlier and once those inevitably dried up we'd be in desperate trouble. Which is now proving to be the case seemingly. If Ismael stays I don't think it'll even be close, I think we'll struggle to get to 40 points. A new voice, approach and pair of eyes and we might just get enough of a bounce to scrape to safety. -

So from Ismael Jorgensen isn't match fit and won't be rushed into the team. The recruitment team are really outdoing themselves, a defender who blocks our own academy players and put in a performance the likes of which haven't been seen since Shane Duffy's temper tantrum, and a striker who isn't in a position to start ahead of Henriksson who can't even play there. Absolutely phenomenal work lads. -
That's the likely final story I think.

Things are so depressing that my only refuge is gallows humour. I'm so depressed, this sprang to my mind but please cheer me up and contribute your wit in a few posts before I jump off a very tall building. There comes a point when you stop checking the league table because you already know that you're somewhere between “mathematically doomed” and “practically relegated.” Other clubs are out there signing strikers with two working legs and a pulse whilst we’re proudly unveiling "potential" from some unheard of Z league whose last goal came during the Bronze Age. VI assures us there’s no need to panic, which is exactly what people say when there is every need to panic. Our current squad couldn’t finish a sandwich, never mind a chance, and the only thing our midfield creates is anxiety. Somehow I still manage to tell people I'm a Rovers supporter but these days more in the same way one might love a three legged dog that keeps running into traffic. What you got? -
Ours were supposed to arrive by email - They never did, not in junk folder either. They did say they'd had a problem with the 3rd party company sending the emails out, but we have them now.

It might be famous last words for me but I personally think Cashin just had a crap game. I like to think we'll see a better version of him soon. He was good at Derby and Brighton aren't mugs for buying poor players. He'll be disappointed, no doubt about it, so I hope that we'll see a good player soon.

Whilst we've only one 1 of the last 12, we've drawn 7 of them, including away draws at Wrexham, Boro, Sheff Wed (I know) and Hull. Wouldn't be surprised to see us pick something up, but equally, you couldn't have picked two worse away games to be within 72 hours of each other in terms of travel. Swansea had a dreadful November, but recovered well in December to win 5 of their 8 games up to 4th Jan. Going to go with..... 1-1, possibly erring on the side of a Rovers win, just because I think we're due one. -
Ahh right, when I ordered them, they arrived via e-mail, I couldn't see a postal option tbh.

Difficult to see anything other than a loss. Think there will be a couple of surprise selections including the absence of Captain Todd. Saturday continued to show we've brought in some real shite including Baradji. Think Cashin has to play in order to avoid financial penalties - IMO, continue with him and he'll take us down - Today

Just a heads up @K-Hod - Our vouchers never arrived, I had to call them to have them sent again.

I've always been of the opinion this season since it became clear we were going to sell off all our decent Championship experience that it will be 50/50 on relegation but we would eventually limp to safety when we get Toth back in goal, Alebiosu, Morishita & Gudjohnsen back in the side, and I think I still do but those results over the weekend were a killer. It's getting far too close for comfort. Although I believe that 2 spots are now taken and it's 4 maybe even a 5 way shootout for the last one. The next two weeks or so are huge, against a poor Swansea side away, 3 home games in a row including Sheffield Wednesday, and then Norwich away. Think after these 4 games we will more or less know, if we're still out of the bottom 3 by a few points my original prediction of limping to safety will happen I think. But as has been said further up, the main concern for me is if/when we fall into that bottom 3 do we have enough characters at the club to claw and scrap to get us out of it? I'm not sure we do. -

I imagine it will now go very quiet until mid next week at the earliest. Based on Ismael's comments, I'm expecting a cheap loan striker and the offloading of a couple of the current squad...oh and Hedges probably not being registered for the rest of the season while we suffer along with De Neve at LWB.
